Ordered an asada burrito NO rice, extra beans. I had to repeat and emphasize the NO rice 3 times to the cashier who seemed to speak perfect English but when I received my order and took my first bite, of course there was a ton of rice and almost no beans which I decided to go ahead and eat because although I don't like rice in burritos, I'm always reluctant to waste food as they would have had to trash that one for a new one. But about 3 bites in, this burrito with extra rice and almost no beans completely fell apart in my hand because it wasn't rolled properly. At that point, I returned the pile of mess on my plate and requested the right order which they gladly did and got the No rice, extra beans part right... except about 3 bites in, the burrito fell apart again. At that point, I just asked for a fork and ate it "protein style". This by itself was not a big deal, but the meat was overly salty and mushy and not very good. I've ordered food from this spot a few times before and it was always pretty good so maybe this was just an anomaly...2 stars for this experience...
Read moreThe wife and I are regulars here. Straightforward Mexican joint, but it's the meat that is a make it or break it. Other restaurants has disgusting inedible pieces of beef in their carne asada, but not here. Their carnitas are amazing, not extremely greasy. Everything is flavorful. The staff are friendly and salsa bar is stocked up. When it's running low, you can ask them for more and they're more than willing to fill it up for you. My go to menu items are the burritos, lengua (beef tongue) tacos, the carne asada fries or the carne asada nachos (I've tried the fries and the nachos with carnitas and it's...
Read moreThe asada tasted like they bought it from Food For Less... the hint of lime was cute but they should have just gave me limes on the side. It wasn't the worst food but it's definitely not amazing. They use cheap, generic ingredients but the cooks seem to make the most out of it. I've had worse, but I've definitely had better. I don't like to waste food but i threw out half of the asada because it was fatty and stringy like cheap meat from food for less... My friends from El Salvador told me that this is typical. That's why I gave them4 stars instead of 2. I hope i...
