When HHC first opened up in the SFV at a car wash, it became a community favorite. Getting Hot Chicken was always a pain because most of the spots were further in LA. Hawaiian is an awesome place but after they moved too an actual store, it kinda fell off. The new spot is very small and there is barely any parking. In addition, the old spot had space where people can actually sit down, eat, and actually have a good time. Now they want you to order, wait a ton, and leave. Not only that, it takes way too long to get your food and there are other fried chicken spots that can get it too you way quicker. You can try ordering online, but its still gonna take time and you will pay more. Another thing was that the staff seemed like they did not want to be there and killed the vibe. Personally, I don't think the food was worth the 45 MINUTE wait but overall the food is good for what it is. Its definitely different from the popular Hot chicken spots in a good way and really stands out from the crowd. The problem that I have with the food is that there is nothing Hawaiian about it. If its your first time wanting to try it I definitely recommend it. Hawaiian is an awesome young business that got a huge momentum and support from the community. They need to take a step back and fix the...
Read moreI was excited to come to a new place, I, I was hoping to have a different experience yet a better experience than when I go to Dave's Hot Chicken or Bangin Buns. Show my honest opinion of this establishment: Cashier was very friendly There's a sign outside that says mask are required because of the pandemic yet there was an employee that was in the back room where the food is being prepared without a mask on. The chicken slider was placed inside of 2 sweet rolls on the top and 2 sweet rolls on the bottom, And no they were not the Hawaiian rules that you was expecting. The sauce was dripping all over my hands and onto my clothes because the rolls I guess dinner rolls could not contain the amount of sauce that was coming from the slider. The fries I received were warm They should have been hot and they don't have any ketchup for the fries which is really weird.
Sum it up, everyone should have their mask on especially when the sign says that, the bread they are providing needs to be able to contain all the contents that goes in it not causing it to get all over your clothes. And finally if you're gonna serve fries make sure you have the condiments that go with...
Read moreI first found this spot in the parking lot of a car wash. They had set up shop in the parking lot after the car wash had closed. I literally rolled my eyes drove by the first time thinking "oh another hot chicken spot" but every time drove by the line was longer and longer. I finally pulled in waited in line, placed my order and waited for the food. I kept thinking to myself I will not be back because I hate waiting lol BUT let me tell you, I ate all of my chicken sandwich and inhaled whatever my girlfriend couldn't finish. The wait was sooo long cause they fry those delicious chicken tenders as orders come in. The hawaiian rolls combined with their sauce is amazing. So when I found out they had finally opened up a shop you best believe i took the drive from Santa Clarita down to Northridge to get some. I got an order of mild luau fries and an order of Hawaiian plate, came with 2 sandwiches and fries. Just as good as it in the...
