IHOP — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Horrid reception by the waitress. My wife and I entered the restaurant to dine. We expected to be approached and asked with a friendly smile if we needed a table for two. Instead, the waitress sneered and a harshly exclaimed, "yes, what can I do for you?" Very off-putting and rude. This gave us the impression that she didn't want us to dine there. I do feel it was racially motivated due to the fact that three other white identifying couples were serviced without qualm or question. I also attempted to ask about how the rewards points are redeemed, only to be met with more aggression. She talked over me and told me that I couldn't get anything with the Pancoins I earned in previous visits. Then the story changed again that she didn't know how to use the app, then when we asked to speak with the manager, she said there was no manager. That she was the only one there. Then quickly followed with suddenly telling us she needed the code. So she DID know what I was initially asking about. After my wife and I seated ourselves, not once did she come over to the table to ask if we needed anything else and she did not refill our water for our whole duration dining. Not once did she smile or change her tone. We also saw an older male come from the back. We knew it wasn't the cook. SPOILED FOOD and HARD PLASTIC IN PANCAKES!!! I just went for a late dinner takeout from this IHOP at 11pm on Friday (I've gone here many times in the past without issue). This time I didn't recognize the night staff. The usual host/ cashier who was wonderful was not there instead there was a young boy who appeared to be 12-15. We brought our food home. I took opened my spinach and mushroom omlete and noticed a pungent odor. I thought it was coming from somewhere else and took a bit then another and then I through my fork down. The sauce was completely spoiled!!! I'm praying it don't get sick! I think ok, spoiled sauce, that can happen though I am feeling very uneasy about ihop. So I open my red velvet pancakes take 3 bites and then on the birth bite, CRUNCH!!! I pull this hard bit out of my mouth and notice it's a piece of plastic. 2 for 2 in not trying a third. We used to go here every few weeks for a late night dinner for ourselves or a brunch with the kids. I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS LOCATION AGAIN!! We call the restaurant to complain and talk to a manager we are told by the young boy "there is no manager here". Really? Also both the boy and the waitress we got on the phone had terrible attitudes and didn't seem at all concerned that they had just served spoiled food and food with a foreign object in it. We came ti ear wafflea for dinner! Got seated immediately and our sweet young waitress Letty brought us our drinks right away milk and coffee. She told us that after we saw no senior brwqkfasts listed that we could get the senior discount. So I got a Belgian Waffle Combo with scrambled eggs and onions, and bacon. Loved the waffles and eggs. Bacon was not as tasty as I had hoped. My elderly mom got a jr waffle and eggs as she eats smaller portions. We are so stuffed we cannot eat dessert, but they sure have good-looking desserts here too. Letty was an excellent attentive waitress and cheerful and informative. We also plan to bring my niece and her kids who would all eat for free after 3! They are all under 12 so that's a great deal especially for struggling families. Cost with tax and...
