Corner Grill — Restaurant in Los Angeles

I've been a patron of this establishment since it opened years ago. It's a small menu that hasn't changed much. The burgers, fries, noodles, and rice bowls/plates, salads, and sandwiches continue to deliver the same high quality and deliciousness that I crave. Top-notch ingredients are never sacrificed or subpar; even the salad dressing stays consistently rich and sublime. How is this possible? Probably the results of the detail oriented owner who remains steadfast in her direction that is refined to perfection. Every call in order for takeout contains the stipulation that you are ordering for Tujunga, underlining the fact that no time or dime will be wasted on frivolity. Each togo order is packed tightly with care, waiting for you on an impeccably clean stainless steel table and tied with a knot to spotlight the food inside. Do you prefer to dine inside? Make yourself at home in a booth or bar chairs around a high table and enjoy the neighborly atmosphere set in an impeccably clean room with warm tones and lighting. How is everything so good here? The food here is very good but not are they slow. I love the terriyaki bowls from here and the Korean BBQ bowls. The problem is I have yet to see a kid at the counter who doesn't seem like it's their first job. The kitchen is very slow. I don't know exactly why but if you are third or fourth in line expect to wait 20 min for a teriyaki bowl on a good day.

The last time I was here I was picking up take out. They kid at the counter said it would be 25 minutes. He kind of warned me before I ordered in case I was in a hurry I guess. So I placed my order and told him I would be back. I had to drop something of about 3 minutes down the road. I ended up taking about 45 minutes to get back. When I got there I decided I wanted to buy a soda so I got in line. There was a takeout bag sitting on the counter and I figured it had to be mine I was waiting inline for about 10 minutes. The line had only moved by one person when someone came out of the kitchen, bagged a take out order and called my name. Woah! 50+ minutes for two teriyaki bowls? I am glad I didn't wait there the whole time. As it was, my food was fresher than I expected and delicious as always. If they figured out how to be more efficient this place would get...

First - The Review: The Korean American infused food is exceptional at the price. Strong BBQ flavor with their signature beef and delicious combinations of ingredients. Just be sure to have space in the fridge for the left overs. Most of their food is still delicious even the next day. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a great burger, salad, sandwich, or yakisoba. Order ahead of time, as wait times can be long. I suspect because of lockdown policies and possibly understaffed.

Second - What I want to say: This restaurant has easily sky rocketed to one of my favourite places to order from. I wish I was a little bit more social so I could thank the staff by name, but what I can do is offer my business, and I ask anyone during this pandemic to do the same, please order ahead so you don't have to wait if wait times are the concern.
