Jack in the Box — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Have reviewed this location before. Improved by 1 extra star. Now give it 4 stars. Definitely improved quality of chicken and frying. I no longer get over cooked burnt fries & there is no more old frying oil smell & taste. The cons when ordering chicken strips I expect 3 or 5 which ever option is ordered to be 3 or 5 distinct chicken strips not 2 half strip/nugget counted as a chicken strip. When I called this out to the manager I was given a sly smile (because it was obvious this is a common practice & happened to my orders multiple times) and can only remedy this if I order in person and ask specifically. Can not get remedy if ordering online or for delivery. If Jack In The Box advertises chicken strips and advertises pictures of chicken stripes, as a customer that is the expectation. The deviation of receiving 2 half strips counted as one is more like ordering nuggets and you just get more fried batter & grease versus chicken breast meat. This is not appreciated especially for the price of this fast food item. If Jack In The Box could reduce the sodium in their batter and all their food items that would be an exponential improvement. Overall staff is friendly and appreciate that the manager protects employees service, however not arguing with customers would be a better choice in customer service. Finally as a regular customer I am pleased that management is willing to rectify orders that are not correct or not meeting expectations. After having a late night at work, I offered to pick up some Jack in the box for my wife on my way home and stopped at our local one here. The guy taking and fulfilling orders at the window was super friendly and engaging, especially considering how late it was (1am). I did have to wait a few minutes, but I presumed there was likely a much smaller staff than daytime hours and things usually take a few minutes longer. I wasn't phased or in any particular hurry.

The food came out, and I went on my way. Upon arriving at home a few minutes later to open my bag, each of the items we ordered were perfect representations of what you would see in a commercial. I'm a little sad I didn't take pictures of my food (as I vehemently despise being one of those folks always taking food pictures) because of how perfect these burgers looked AND tasted.

The burger texture was perfect, the poppers had a bite and were perfectly crispy. Sometimes, the tacos can be a little soggy by the time you eat them a few minutes later, but these were crunchy from start to finish. Not to mention, the two special requests on one of the burgers was correct in our bag! Almost never heard of from fast food restaurants lately!

I was surprise Jack in the Box is expensive. I only came to Jack in the Box to use my T-Mobile deal on the Jumbo Jack burger but today I stopped by to get someone for my nephew since I was in the plaza visiting Amazon Fresh. I parked closer to there and walked to this Jack in the Box since it's all in a shared plaza. I got here before the lunch rush happen so the wait wasn't too bad. I got my nephew the bacon double sourdough smashed jack burger. When the cashier said my total, I was surprise because that's like a full meal at another popular burger place I always go to. The inside of this place isn't that big but they have the soda machine that let you add flavors to whichever drink you want.
