Went to Jersey Mike’s on Friday. Must say one of my favorite restaurants, since I was born and raised in Jersey it’s a little bit of home. You can imagine my other disappointment and discuss when I came through on Friday and ordered three sandwiches one of which I wanted to be cut in half and to have oil and vinegar Mike’s way. And one dry. What turns out to be the general manager that was making the sandwiches quite A Animated individual. After correcting him once on half of the sandwich where he put oil but not vinegar. I said to him – I wanted one to be dry and one with oil and vinegar here already put the oil and vinegar on the other side of the sandwich. When I brought it to his attention he seem to of gotten very frustrated. And to be honest a little loud. Has the restaurant was very filled, it was embarrassing to be yelled at by an employee much less the general manager as he described them self to be. While I was paying for three giant sandwiches. My cousin was with me and it was the general manager was making the second half of the sandwich again. He seem to go right for the oil and vinegar again which seem to be part of his stick. My cousin reminded him that we wanted that have dry. It bears mentioning that we were very polite to him even though he was clearly a bit aggressive and wound up. When my cousin brought it to his attention his response was do you want to make the sandwich. Which my cousins answer was are you being a smart ass. The general managers answer loudly and aggressively well I’m trying to make the sandwich. My cousin said was look like you were about to make the same mistake again. He continued he being the general manager to be argumentative and sarcastic. Really there was no need for any of it. You simply asked for the sandwich to be dry, I had to step in and tell the manager to lower his voice, how incredibly disappointed and shameful. For a company that builds on service and be quality haven’t sandwiches. This individual does not seem to fit the ideas and experience one has come to expect that jersey Mike’s. I won hundred percent predict that this will not be the last time this ““general manager“ will have a problem with the customer. It may be worth mentioning that I am a customer that has been incredibly loyal to Jersey Mike’s and I am a frequent visitor. Proofer that is the well over 1300 points I have. Most disappointing I have tried to reach out to the store numerous times to reach the owner which seem to be there all the time in the beginning now is never there. And the employees tell me that he is far too busy to come into the store. Maybe that’s why, his general manager feel so free to treat his customers with such disrespect and rudeness. In closing I think that this individual shame is the great employees, that work for Jersey Mike’s in the Jersey Mike’s family. I can’t express to you how very...
Read moreI’ve been to this location about 4 times, all visits were incredibly rude and left me feeling unwelcome. The only reason I kept coming back was to give the location the benefit of the doubt that they were having a hard day and are just customer exhausted, but after this last visit I literally had to hold back tears and force myself to stand up for myself because of the lack of customer service. And not even lack of customer service, just the lack of being able to be kind to a total stranger. Which is a completely normal skill required in a customer service job, not a hard ask of someone. The manager was the first person I encountered this visit (today about an hour ago) and right off the bat was patronizing me, gave me attitude, was unhelpful when I was confused, and then to the next customer in line was incredibly sweet and inviting as if my feelings did not matter and the next guy was superior in some way. It felt personal even though it probably wasn’t. When talking to her/them afterwards, she/they didn’t deescalate me at all, just continued to treat me in a patronizing way that escalated me to the point I had to give up trying to talk to her/them and just ask for the corporate number and a refund. Which she/they gave but not the number. I had to ask another employee for it. Mon Pierre ended up being the one who deescalated me and made me feel like I wasn’t in the wrong and told me that I wasn’t the first person that day who complained about her/their attitude. He was much more personable and caring. He should be the one leading the team rather than the current manager I encountered. If this is the example she/they set, no wonder all my other experiences have also felt unwelcoming. And it’s a shame because I’m never giving my business to them again and sandwich places pop up all over. For example, Mr. Pickles has been wonderful so far so I’ll take my time and money to them or elsewhere after...
Read moreI am very disappointed and very grossed out. This is my go to location and I was really craving a hot sandwich today. I placed an order over the phone as my husband is extremely impatient and I can’t go myself.. I’m 9 months pregnant and can’t really drive at the moment. Anyways, I assured him that the sandwiches would be ready once he got there and he headed out. When he arrived at the store, only my sandwich was ready and they had forgotten to make his. They quickly put it together and they did give a discount on the order for making him wait - which was appreciated. HOWEVER, once he got back home and we sat down to eat, not only was my sandwich cold but he realized there was also an extremely long dark hair right in the middle of his giant sub. What’s more unsettling is that the worker who he watched make his sandwich was a blonde. So I’m not sure how that even happens??? I tried to call the location four different times and explain what happened but never got an answer. Not even a voicemail machine. Just nothing. Neither of us wanted to eat anything anymore we were just grossed out and turned off by the whole situation. I wish I could post a picture of the hair sitting right there in the middle but google doesn’t do that...
