Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Los Angeles

My wife and I came to enjoy some chicken on a Tuesday afternoon. The line was pretty long and it seemed like a regular busy day but what I’ve noticed was that all the tables were dirty. It makes sense because the restaurant was pretty full. Once we got our turn to order our food the cashier Made us wait until she was done eating. Talk about eww. Anyway we ordered and try to sit down at a table but they were all dirty and it looked like they didn’t have a manager around or something. So after we tried filling up our soda cup but the machine was out of soda so they offered us frozen lemonade so we took it forcefully. I then said if I could get a cup of water and she offered me a cup where they put the mash potatoes in like if I was a dog. I live very close by so it’s very convenient for me to come to this Popeyes but I rather drive and go the extra mile then going there ever again. Terrible staff terrible conduct and horrible service. I'm not one to review a fast food spot, but after seeing all the negative reviews I felt that I should weigh in with my experience last night.

Pulled up in the drive-thru around 10:15pm with quite a few cars ahead of me, probably waited around 5 - 6 minutes to order. A friendly voice asked for our order, and repeated it to make sure it was right.

The gentleman handing the payment & food was nice and friendly, not shy with the condiments, and the order was perfect - no mistakes here. All in all it was a positive drive thru-experience.

The Food: Nothing beats their classic fried chicken sandwich, 5 stars in my book. Served pretty classic with a few pickle slices and a swipe of Mayo on their pillowy buns. To be honest i was on the go and felt like having a chicken sandwich. Now that i tried it...I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE LINED UP TO TRY THIS. I have not had POPEYES in years so I didn't expect much...However, that's exactly what I got, nothing worth returning for. I think this place is for people without taste buds. Cole slaw had no flavor, may be close to the worst coleslaw i've tried. The cajun fries were hard to call edible, and the chicken sandwich was simply plain n tasteless. I also got some shrimp and regret it the minute i tried them.

If you go to POPEYES, remember it's just an overhyped fast food place. Don't expect to get more than what you pay for.

Add on - I will say the young person at the register had great customer.
