Pupuseria La Libertad — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Ordered scrambled eggs with no vegetables. And a hamburger special. Waited 30 minutes and the lady had the nerve to ask me if I was the one who ordered pupusas. Waited an additional 10 minutes and still no drink. At the very least. Ate my burger, you could tell it was rushed. When the eggs came, guess what? They had vegetables and a pool of oil. Meat on the burger still cold and cheese not melted. Stale bread. Saw a baby cockroach on the wall next to me. Checked my food for any in there. Surprisingly no. Never got my soda and when I payed for my order the lady said I had to get my own soda. Then what’s the point of serving as a waitress? It was a busy I will not lie! 45 min ish I asked why did family of 4 get served before we did they came wayyy after us.. the young lady response was they was a phone order sooo they ordered I said what does that mean her response was they ordered before I did sooo she saying they ordered a hour and half prior before hmmm okay .. then a family of two gets served which they arrived 10 mins prior and I watched the husband order and get served at this point in upset I waited a lil over hour for my meal! So after I bitched a little 10 mins later our food was here food was great but idk if an hour wait is worth it maybe I should've ordered in Spanish I would've gotten...

Over the last decade, or so, we have seen an abundance of really good Salvadorean restaurants established in this once predominantly Mexican oriented area, of all of these "pupuserias" La Libertad is the only one that gets a 5 from the family and I. Good food, great prices, and curteous service from the mostly family based, (from the looks of it), staff. That is a combination for success which will always keep 'em coming back.
