Roscoe's House of Chicken and Waffles - (Manchester & Main) — Restaurant in Los Angeles

For since I've heard Snoop saying how Roscos chicken I've been inspired to eat ... and its truly a great chicken, that always recommended it to many of my family and friends.... however do to the experience today in this stablishment I'm done eating this chicken. I'm just one person so to them I'm sure is like a no body so either way I don't wish how I was treated to one an hope all that goes don't ever go through what went through for being my first time In this establishment cause normally eat at roscoes in pasadena... I had two order that I came to pick up ... as I arrived I had and issue with security yelling at me to get sanitizer before stepping in the entrance, no respect ( maybe because I'm latino) , anyways I stood in the line when I got to front the young small lady help very polite Spanish lady , she politely ask me to wait with one of my orders that was read cause the other one was not yet ... as I stoop outside In that sun , I decided to go put my first order in the car mind you it was already over 10 min waiting so as approach back to the establishment all I was going to do is ask if its almost ready so I open the exit door were I came out the the RUDE TALL @$%#$@ YELD at me telling I already told not to come In to the exit ( I'm like what the heck i had not even come ever here ),, I try telling her It wasn't me cause this is my first time here, so she kept yelling and called security like I'm a criminal I felt very disappointed and disrespected from both the security and that stupid lady .... For the first time I understood how my best friend ( He is Black and I told him my experience an he couldn't believe it ) feels when he goes to certain establishments in Pasadena how they treat him for being black. I'm very for this ignorance from both parties . But if this kind of disrespect continues no wonder as a society will fail to know what true love to out neighbors is. I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT ON THIS ESTABLISHMENT EVER AGAIN. WISH YOU AS A CUSTOMER TO NEVER GO THROUGH TO WHAT WENT TO.......

First, I have to say my review is not a reflection of the food at this or any location (I still love and will continue to enjoy it) on the 5th of Jan, I was closing out my birthday weekend with meeting a friend here, who I havent seen in years. We arrived at 6:45 p.m. on a Sunday. The young man who sat us was great 👍, we ordered our drinks and continued catching up. At 7 the waitress came over very rudely and told us we needed to order because they are about to close. I kindly asked her for a few more mins as we were in deep girl talk and tears were flowing. After 2 mins she came back with a look that made me and my friend feel rushed so I ordered some wings and mac (my favorite😀). She did not offer combonation dinner and grabbed the menus. I received the food but could not truly enjoy it because she was constantly glancing over in our direction. Very shortly she brought over the check. In any other case $26 for 2 drinks, 4 wings, and mac&chesse would not be an issue. But the unwelcomed hurry up and leave vibes made me not want to pay ( which is not my character at all). I paid and still left a $4 tip. I wasnt expecting any special treatment, but having a more welcoming environment would have ended the perfect...

I wish I could speak well of the location but I had an unfortunate event today while I was trying to enjoy my meal unfortunately I found a strand of long black hair. The worst part is when I addressed it with the waitress she took it to the cook and the cook proceeded to accuse me of place in the hair in the meal that I was enjoying initially. I felt just respected and offended. I was not there to get a free meal from anyone in fact I was in the neighborhood and decided to stop by and enjoy a good meal which ended up having to be a bad experience for me. As I asked for the manager the assistant manager approached me and asked me if there was an issue.. I told him yes and what happened and most of all the fact that the cook went ahead and blamed me for a The hair in the food.. I had advised the manager that I was not there for a free meal but the fact that he needs to go ahead and make sure that his customers are not to blame for other people's mistakes and especially disrespected the way I was. I hope and pray that no one else encounters the same issue I did. I once was very fond of this place and frequent regularly throughout the years...
