My roommate raved about Santino's pizza, so as a treat for her, we ordered some. Unfortunately, while they may have good pizza, they have TERRIBLE customer service. As a vegan, when we called, I asked if their pasta contained egg. The girl who answered the phone refused to check, either by asking or by looking on the ingredients list on the package, so we didn't order anything for me. When I picked up the slices for my roommate, the owner was schmoozing with some other patrons. I caught his eye and very kindly let him know that I'd had a problem with one of his employees when placing my order. I told him what happened, but not only did he not seem concerned, his response was, "We're too busy to check." So busy, with a single couple sitting inside, and another couple outside, no phones riging at 9 pm on a Friday night. I told him that unfortunately, because of their unwillingness to take that simple step, they lost my order. He told me I could take my business elsewhere. Santino's is NOT vegan friendly, and NOT...
Read moreI loooooooooove Santino’s pepperoni and pineapple pizza! Santino’s NY Pizza is a small pizza joint serving amazing NY-style pizzas. I found out about this place when going to a nail appointment (it's next door). My stomach was growling one day while I was getting my nails done. I committed to checking this place out as soon as I was done. So I did! The place isn't fancy or anything; it's like your average pizza spot. I ordered a slice of their pep and pine pizza. When I took a bite, my taste buds were going crazy! It was so freakin delicious. I can't even explain to you why. But after that day, I’ve been going back for more. On my last visit, I ordered a large pep & pine pizza to share with my family. I told my hubby he needed to try a slice. When he took a bite, his eyes opened wide in amazement. He ended up eating a total of 5 slices! This is a must-try for yourself spot. You'll thank me...
Read morePretty frickin' good pizza! Surprisingly good. Would've given it 5 Stars but the only reason that I didn't is b/c of its price point. Paid $27.06 + $4 in tip to the delivery driver (Total: $31.06) for a Jumbo pizza and 3 cans of Coca Cola. Not that I even drink Coca Cola but it's for the company I'm with.
Pizza was DELICIOUS and between 2 hungry people, you can easily eat it all. Very "New Yorkee" in that it is really thin, cheesy, oily, etc... The cut slices out of the pie were on the small side as when compared to establishments in NYC. Off of the top of my head, I think Fascati Pizza's in the Brooklyn Heights area of NYC.
Anyways, I'd definitely order it again. A great pizza pie! Cheers
A friendly suggestion to Santino's NY Pizza: Even though it seems as if times are tough everywhere...A lower price point might help to stimulate...
