Seafood Xperience — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Seafood experience has delicious food and excellent customer service. Their fried crab among other menu items are excellent. I only gave them 3 stars because of their overall inconsistency. They hardly ever keep to their opening hours or days. Their hours says 11am, but you go at noon and they tell you to come back at 1:30. They're supposed to be closed on Tuesdays, but you go on an occasional Tuesday and they're open, and then they're randomly closed on another day. You call the store number right now, you get a message that says "you are not allowed to make a call," even now that the store is open again. They shut down for months with no communication to their customers... not even a sign or posted note. They raised the prices, which is understandable in this environment, but some of the items went up 100%! I'm rooting for their success, but this is not the best...

I bought 6 pieces of fish, 6 oysters, 2 sides, and an extra 5 shrimp… this cost me 56.00. I ordered 2 drinks that 13.50. ( I canceled the drink order) I was suppose to get 2 large side orders, what I got was a teaspoon of sides, the small small ones.. I ordered from a menu that showed this order was 25.00, but apparently I was ordering from an outdated menu, and I was charged 45.00. The fish was salty and dry ( overcooked ) the greens were nasty 🤮 and I got 1 roll. Way overpriced. I called the store to get a credit for the fact that I didn't get what I paid for, I’m still waiting on that call. I want to support black owned business, but they have a responsibility to be fair and reasonable with their prices vs the quantity of food. I don t know any establishment that is charging 6.75 for a large drink. The fountain machine was broken. I won’t patronize this...

Tried this place for a second time although the first time they didn’t have any macaroni salad, oysters or potato salad. I visited yesterday which was Good Friday and again they didn’t have the items mentioned above. I placed an order for sole only to hear the owner in the back yelling as if he was upset because there was no sole. He also appeared to be yelling at his staff. Me and a few other customers were in awe. I had to change my fish because they were out of sole. I chose catfish and they didn’t have any. Ok so let me have snapper. Out of that too. Tried to support, but the inconsistency...
