Y'know, Subway, with more than 22,000 worldwide locations, is owned and operated by privately held Doctor's Associates Inc.
Doctor's Associates Inc. is actually Fred Deluca and Peter Buck, partners who control this $7 billion (in systemwide sales) private empire, and have no immediate plans to take their goldmine public.
Their collaboration has become the largest and most successful sandwich franchise in the world. There are no doctors in Doctor's Associates Inc.

Just the same, Subway's claim to fame continues to be its freshly made-to-order sandwiches, several of which have seven grams of fat or less.
It was made famous by Jared Fogel, the college student turned Subway poster boy who claimed to have lost 245 pounds eating Subway subs. Don't get me started on Jared Vogel. Look him up if you don't know his story.

   Read moreThis has to be by far the worst Subway I have ever been to, I had placed an online order but I arrived a few minutes prior to my pickup time and when I asked how long it would be before my order is ready and angrily told me thereâs still 10 minutes until your order is supposed to be ready with some of the worst attitude Iâve received from any establishment. You would assume as the owner she would have a better understanding of customer service and common sense, but I guess as they say common sense isnât that common anymore.
