I’ve been here multiple times since they opened up and it still shocks me at how good the burgers are here. We ordered the double and triple combos, which comes with fries and a cup for the fountain drinks. This place also has alcoholic drinks available which is an interesting idea for a fast casual place. My favorite order is the double combo. The burger Patties had an amazing crust around them and the flavor of the meat is one of the best. Fries are basic but good and comes with a little container of sauce. I didn’t get the soft serve this time but have ordered it in the past. In my opinion, the soft serve Ice cream was okay but all my friends really liked it so maybe see what you think about it. They prepare the Ice cream whenever you’re done with your food and ready for it, so it’s not sitting out there melting, I liked that idea, but it took a while to prepare. They also have a chocolate covered option. Service was good, nothing really noteworthy since it’s a fast casual burger joint. The ambiance has an interesting little twist here, in addition to the sound of groups of people having their own casual conversations amongst themselves, there is always some upbeat music playing in the background. How this place works is you wait in line first to place your order, you’ll get a pager then find a seat and wait to get called to pick up your food at the counter next to the kitchen. If you also ordered soft serve ice cream, you’ll go back to the counter where you picked up your food, whenever you’re ready, and let them know you’re ready for your ice cream, at that point you’ll just wait at the counter until it is prepared for you. There is a good amount of seating available, indoor/outdoor, it’s a very popular place so it can get full but we have not had a situation where we can’t find somewhere to sit. Haven’t ever waited in a crazy line either, the longest line has been like 5-6 people before us, they’re definitely keeping the people moving. The parking can get a bit tricky at times, they have a parking lot for themselves but it can sometimes get packed during the busy periods, in those cases there is street parking which is usually not ideal in the immediate area.

One of the best, if not *the* best burger experience I’ve had the pleasure to enjoy. Good parking. Beautiful branding and extremely clean outside and in. The line was long, but moved very quickly. Clear menu with helpful server and very genuine team inside the restaurant. Once the order was placed the food was ready super quick. The double was perfectly balanced. Incredible taste and texture from the beef mix. Some of the other reviews which are giving 1-3 stars make for comical reading. This is America, so tipping culture shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone. If pressing a button to define gratuity offends you, then maybe move to Japan. Tip defaults to 18%. In-N-Out is a drive-thru establishment and a completely different experience. You can compare, but there is no comparison. Both In-N-Out and Easy Street are fantastic, but for differing reasons. That said, Studio City is lucky to have restaurants like HiHo Cheeseburger, Easy Street and now Heavy Handed. They all coexist in the same market space, but offer different burger based adventures. And an adventure Heavy Handed sure is. The space feels like ‘The Simpsons’ and ‘Grand Theft Auto’ had a romantic fling back in the 90s, made a baby and the love child is now a burger joint called ‘Heavy Handed’. I can’t say if that’s true, but I do know that this place is fun and the soundtrack perfectly matches the menu. The ice cream can be requested and paid for when you place your burger/fries/meal order, then collected/created when you’re ready. These ice creams are hand made and a work of art. Very grateful to have this new spot so close to home and blown away by how well executed everything was with our experience. I do hope everyone enjoys this place as much as I did.

The smash burgers at Heavy Handed ALWAYS hit! They're one of my tried-and-true spots that never disappoints when I'm craving some good burgers and fries.

You likely are aware that LA has become quite the hot spot for smash burgers. And while there's a lot of solid options out there, a lot of them don't quuiteee measure up to the hype from social media around them. That's not true when it comes to Heavy Handed, however. I legitimately LOVE this burgers and find them both the perfect quintessential smash burger while also having just enough of their own extra flair to make it unique.

The sauce is perfect, and I don't know what it is about the pickles, but their flavor and crunch here is better than just about anywhere else that I've been.

Other options include fries, soft serve, and draft beers. I love all of them here - the fries are simple but beer battered to perfection.

I also find the prices here to be quite reasonable and comparable to most of the other smash burger spots in the LA area - and the burgers themselves always hit.

Parking can be a little tight, but there is plenty of street parking options. There's also a nice outdoor patio space to relax on after placing your order.

Heavy Handed is legit, and I most...
