The Studio City Inn is a traditional two-story motel that has been recently remodeled and redecorated. Being right on Ventura Boulevard in the Studio City area of Burbank, the Inn is a great location for visitors looking to visit the studios of CBS, Universal, Disney and Warner Bros. It's also a short Uber ride from Hollywood and the Burbank airport. ||||The renovations lend a touch of quality to the somewhat tiny rooms. Rooms with two beds are extremely tight on space but rooms with one bed are not quite so cramped. Rooms are very clean and provide most of the expected modern conveniences including in-room refrigerators, hair dryers, flat-screen TV's and free WIFI. There are numerous outstanding restaurants within walking distance of the Inn. Also, several Metro bus lines make stops close to the Inn for those wishing to use mass transit to explore LA. ||||Our recent stay was not problem free, however. On the morning after our third night, we woke up to no hot water. As a testament to the manager's commitment to service quality, this random problem was addressed immediately and courteously. We were provided with keys to an adjacent room for use of the bathroom. Under the circumstances, the temporary solution was quick, adequate and acceptable. All in all, we believe the Studio City Inn provides the best overall value for short-term lodging in the Studio City area. Given another opportunity, we would gladly stay at the...

Read moreI don't normally write reviews, but this had to be an exception. My husband and I drove across the country this past week and stayed in hotels the whole way, each one very acccomodating, quiet, safe and best of all, budget friendly.
The Studio City Inn hotel seemed acceptable based on positive reviews and location, but we found nothing good about it. The room was shockingly small, no microwave, no desk, and there was an overwhelming smell of chemicals that was so strong, I couldn't breathe.
My body was itchy and started breaking out in a rash from touching the bed. The bed linens felt cheap and there was actually a cigarette burn hole in the comforter. We could hear all the noise outside clearly, the whole vibe made us feel sick.
I was horrified that I paid more for this room than any of the hotels before this. We couldn't even stay the night. Of course, they would not give us a refund, even though we weren't even there half an hour and explained the fumes were unbearable.
So if you're the kind of person who is averse to loud noises, nauseating fumes, chemicals, and overpriced rooms, I suggest going elsewhere. We should have taken a clue from the fact that the front desk person was behind a glass window that doesn't even open.
There was a nice, updated, clean Comfort Inn just up the way, less than 15min from this place, and for the same price, plus it had a gated...
