My wife and I decided to share a sandwich from Subway. We ordered the Spicy Italian with a few customizations—we requested no tomatoes, extra olives, and extra cucumbers. However, the sandwich we received had tomatoes, barely any olives, and no cucumbers at all. It was clear that the person who made the sandwich only read the top line of the order and prepared it the standard way. I’m extremely sensitive to tomatoes—I can’t have them or even any tomato juice on the sandwich, as it upsets my stomach and causes me to cough all night due to acid reflux. The sandwich maker didn’t seem to pay attention to the full order. It felt like she just wanted to get it done and put it on the shelf for pickup as quickly as possible. The Subway location looks just like any other Subway—standard decor and only a few tables inside. It’s a small place located next to Bank of America in the shopping center with Albertsons, at the corner of Tampa and Victory Boulevard in Reseda, California. Did I expect more from Subway? Yes. Did they read the instructions fully and make the sandwich as requested? No. Will I return to this Subway in the future? Possibly—but next time I might order in person so I can watch them make the sandwich. Come on, Subway—you can do better. Management needs to step up and make sure sandwich makers are reading the entire order, not just the first...
Read moreI love this Subway. We all know what we're getting when we go to a Subway. So beyond that, what can you judge a particular Subway on? What elevates a no-frills sub shop into the 4 - 5 star range?
First, the employees. When the employees recognize you and remember you from a previous visit, you feel special. When I come to this subway, I'm treated warmly, with a smile and a happy wave. This is important to me. I'm not treated like just a customer here - I'm treated like a pal. A chum. A buddy.
Second, the location and interior of the restaurant. This Subway is always clean. ALWAYS. I can sit down at my favorite table without worrying about trash or gunk nearby. The franchisee does an incredible job overseeing this location.
Finally, the subs. They're made neatly, with care. Everything is tucked inside as to not make a mess.
This is my favorite Subway. While the food is consistently tasty across nearly every Subway, this location just feels more relaxed, more enjoyable and more...
