Tacos El Tijuanense — Restaurant in Los Angeles

One of the things I love to do when traveling outside of the country is trying out their food. Tijuana has by far the best tasting tacos. I've tried to find a place in the US that has the same taste but I've yet to find one. This place is as close as you're going to get. Here you can find tacos with Tijuana flavor and salsa to die for. I will come back to try out other items on their menu but so far I'm very impressed. I tried the birria taco, taco estilo Tijuana, and their mulitas (Mu-lee-tas). The birria was flavorful and NOT dry like at other places. The taco estilo Tijuana was as close to a Tijuana taco you can get and you don't have to drive hours to get one. But I think it's beat out buy their mulitas. A Mulita is basically a taco with another tortilla on top and with melted cheese inside. I loved it. 10 out of 10 for sure. As a vegan, I joined a friend who was on a quest for Birria, hoping to find something I could eat too. Unfortunately, there was only one vegan option on the menu: a vegetable burrito made with beans, rice, onion, cilantro, and salsa. I double-checked with the staff to ensure none of the ingredients were cooked in lard, and they assured me they weren’t, so I gave it a try.

The burrito was a good size, and the flavors were pretty authentic, reminiscent of the traditional Mexican food I grew up with. Me and my fiancé went to restaurant tonight and the waiter who took our order was very rude and comments was very snarky. My fiancé order a California burrito mind you he’s allergic to avocado and there no mention on there menu of their being guacamole. My fiancé started to have a reaction and felt funny and realize there was guacamole. Went up to the server and mentioned he allergic and there no mention on menu that there guacamole, she said very snarky “you said you wanted everything.” Don’t understand what kind of customer service that is when someone mentions there ALLERGIC and you serve us a food item with an ingredient that is not mention on your menu.
