So that the owner knows who I am referring to, this happened on the evening shift of Saturday, 8/23/2025. The older cashier lady was extremely rude to me and gave me attitude and snapped at me while taking my order and for anything I said she was unjustifiably, difficult. What's crazy is how opposite and nice she was towards me in the beginning. I'm new to the area so I just started patronizing them in July. I have ALWAYS received a receipt every time I've paid, and if I was only given the generic EBT receipt I would then also request the other receipt additionally, that shows what I specifically ordered; that way I can keep track of my EBT purchases..not that I have to explain that to her, and in the past, I never had to; and not with her either; and she was previously accomodating. But tonight she lied just to be "right" and said they never give receipts at that location. This was to make me feel like I ought to feel "lucky" she gave me my requested detailed receipt, when really I could've and should've gotten it up front, just as I have in times past, and from her included, and MINUS all the back and forth. She was subsequently chatty, friendly, and nice to the woman after me who was Hispanic like her. My first time there I heard a customer mention that another customer spit on her..now I'm wondering if she provoked it. Btw, my pastrami was nasty, my fries were dark and overcooked, and that same cook previously gave me a dark and burnt grilled cheese. I've also had other substandard food, including an inedible chicken quesadilla with hard, chewy, squigly meat that made me question if it was even chicken. Like others others on these reviews, I'm noting that the younger female cashier has always been nice to me, unlike Miss "Dr. Jekyl...
Read moreBeen eating here about 4 days a week for about 2 years. Breakfast is the best deal but ends at noon daily :-( I like the Polish Sausage, but the hamburger patty with eggs and pancakes is great. Cheese omelette is a good deal. They pile on the food, especially the homemade hash browns. The bad news is there is no Pozole, Menudo or Chorizo. Maybe someday since its been suggested. Lunch and Dinner I opt for the Patty Melt, Bean and Cheese Burrito (Huge) or 3 tacos. The salsa is made fresh everyday and is Killer. I hear alot of people ordering the teriyaki bowl (beef or chicken) and although pricey must be good. Have heard mixed reviews on the fried chicken. 21 pc. shrimp dinner is one I havent tried. Bad news here is no Cilantro, or Sour Cream. They have outdoor dining 5 tables on the fenced in patio. 5 large booths inside and 2 smaller ones. Newly installed A/C. Not spotless, but not disgusting either. Neighborhood is questionable. Some gang activity and homeless but they dont bother you. Staff is managed by Head Chef Luis and two other cooks fill in the week. Luis works his butt off 6 days a week. He has his 2 daughters work the weekend with him as order taker and cleanup, they are both hard workers and very polite. If on a Saturday morning at 7am the oldest daughter doesnt quite have a smile yet it is because she worked until 11pm the night before and had to come right back today. I give her a break. The counter person most of the week is a sweetheart Yesenia always smiling and laughing. A big plus is if you are on General Relief and Food Stamps and you are enrolled in the Hot Meals program you can use your EBT card there. Big help for me. I...
Read moreI'm going to be completely honest here. The customer service is 5 stars. However the food does not make the cut. The burgers are nothing special. The tams sauce is weak. They should add regular ranch to their menu. The fries are unsalted. The Pico was good though. 👍 PS When I got my burger, even though I said it was "for here" they had the nerve to serve me with soggy bread. I had to eat so fast as it was already falling apart right when it got to me. Cook needs to step it up. This was...
