Model Nails — Local services in Los Angeles

I wish I could give this place ZERO stars I would. The way the world is today I understand you might need an appointment so I called to ask if I need an appointment. They told me no I could walk in. Great. I go to the salon around 10:40am, I’m immediately shocked to see ONE technician. He’s working on someone and it seems one person in front of me which is fine. As 30-45 minutes passes and no other technician shows up, I ask the man if anyone is coming and he says he doesn’t know. What?! Never in my life. So fine I wait because I need to get these tips off. Another hour passes and it’s now about noon and he finishes with his customer and between 10:30-12pm 6 other people have come in to try and get service but left while I remained in hopes someone was coming. The customer finishes and goes to the pedicure chair. I ask the man ok can you just soak my nails while she gets her pedicure. He gives some LAME excuse about he can’t and proceeds to take care of the same customer. I ask him again, how long does he think it will take and he again claims he doesn’t know anything and he called but nobody answer. I didn’t see him make any phone calls so now he’s a liar and I’m over it so I leave.

Ugh. Never again. This was an awful experience on a Saturday afternoon and I want to just warn anyone else who might give this...

I don't like how little attention they pay to cleaning and sanitizing their tools. All they do is run the tools under water (no soap) and use it on the next customer. I have seen them do this in my last 3 visits through the years. When you complain about it, they pour alcohol on them. Nail files aren't cleaned between customers. I usually go to another place that sanitize their tools with a small sanitizing oven. I feel much more secure that the tools are clean there than at Model Nails. They also aren't so attentive to each customers. If you have a little bit of an ingrown nail, don't expect them to trim it because they don't. They constantly change their employees, don't expect to have a regular person. The only regular persons are the owner and the guy that does acrylics. Service is okay if you are in a rush or have no other options, but not...

They are rude and charge way too much. I took my son for an ingrown toe nail and specified to them just the BASIC PEDICURE. apparently she asked him questions and he did not understand and noted his head. So they charged me extra. I also heard a young girl upset because they charged her the most expensive pedicure and she did not ask for it. The owner did not care. This poor girl paid 154 for pedicure and short nails. Its really outrages! I will never return. Also, when I asked for them to break down the price the lady got upset, I'm like lady its my money I'm paying, I just want to know exactly what your...
