This place is incredible. Everything is beautifully prepared. They honor and prepare the vegetables with such care. You can tell everything is made with love. It’s so flavorful, savory and delicious. Some of our favorites were the Leahi roll combined with the poke salad (so fresh!), the Agedashi tofu (sooo savory!), the Point Reyes (super spicy but in the best way!) and the inari, eggplant and tomato sushi were just incredible. I really can’t say enough complimentary things - eating here was a true pleasure. The space is nicely designed and super clean, everyone behind the sushi bar and on the floor were extremely kind and attentive and the overall vibe was super relaxed and upscale without being pretentious at all. Truly the answer to all my hopes and dreams. We first tried Tane in Hawaii and were blown away. I thought my friend was lying when they told me they were coming to LA, but here we are! I had a reservation for Saturday that I booked weeks in advance. Just two days before, the restaurant called to let me know they could not accommodate my food allergies, even though I had confirmed weeks earlier that they could. I found this very unprofessional. I asked if they could make an exception given how far in advance I had booked, but they declined.
