The Corner Store — Restaurant in Los Angeles

I returned here after an almost 2 year hiatus. It feels familiar but yet I couldn’t help but notice a few changes. The playlist was tending towards more country style on this sunny afternoon in September 2025 Most notably, the toilet seemed to have gotten a do-over. It looked cleaner than in the past. Yeah!

Overall, I enjoyed a relaxing afternoon at the Corner Store.

Below are my thoughts on „waterfront“ breakfast options in San Pedro in general. Lighthouse Café, The Corner Store, Rex Cafe, Cafe at Doubletree Hotel and Colossus on Harbor.

The menu clearly lists 3 sandwich items as being vegan. When I asked whether the bread was vegan, I was told that they didn't know, and could not guarantee it. I'm sorry, but you cannot list something as being vegan without knowing for sure. A manager/owner (?) said, "I bought the menu this way and left it that way." Ok, but you are the one placing the orders, and you are the one responsible for making sure that the ingredients you are ordering for your vegan items are indeed vegan. How many vegans have paid and eaten there, thinking they were eating vegan, and ended up eating something that may have contained animal derived products. This is deceitful and ignorant. Know what you're selling and don't lie to your customers. It is...
