Came for the burger, accidentally fell in love with the fried chicken skillet sandwich. And I mean really fell, like rom-com-level, slow-motion fried chicken drama. Depending on your taste, the chicken might just steal the show (sorry, burger).
Tater tots? They’re fine. Not life-changing, but they showed up and did their job. The wings, though... kinda like that one coworker who tries but just doesn’t bring the flavor. Not terrible, just not MVP material.
Now, the presentation is a chef’s kiss. The food looks like the menu photos without even trying. No awkward lighting, no false advertising, just food that shows up ready for its Instagram close-up.
Special shout-out to the kids’ burger. I’ve never seen a junior burger that big in my life. It’s less “kids meal” and more “miniature feast.” Your child will either be thrilled or slightly intimidated.
I’m already plotting my return. The skillet Nashville hot chicken sandwich? Game-changer. Not too spicy, just enough heat to keep things interesting, and crafted like someone really cared about your taste buds.
9/10 would eat again....

The burgers are a bit pricey, but they’re 100% worth it—packed with flavor and super filling. The workers are always friendly, and the food is consistently on point. My go-to favorites are the Original Skillet Burger, Brisket Quesadilla, Brisket S’mac Wrap, Urban Fries, and Spicy BBQ Chicken Wings.
One thing I love about the Northridge location is that it has more menu options (at least on UberEats/Postmates) compared to the Lankershim one. I was at work and really wanted Urban Skillet, so I ordered from Northridge, when I could’ve ordered from the Lankershim one as it was closer to me. Even though delivery took an hour the food was still very warm and delicious. I knew they’d get my order right and had more...
Read moreI ordered Takeout on July 26th. It responded that a text will be sent to notify me when it’s ready in 20 minutes. It never sent me one. (Work on that guys) I called to see if it was ready, a cheerful voice said it was. This was 4 minutes after the 20 mins. It was given to me in a LARGE paper bag. (Please try a smaller bag, environment guys) The Oreo Shake was thin, no Whipped Cream. But it was DELICIOUS!! Cost $6.99 a bit pricey.
The online menu has no option on how you want your Hamburger cooked. Hmm It came to me Medium to Medium well. It’d looked great, tasted fantastic!! One of the BEST Hamburgers that I had in years. It was juicy and cooked perfectly!!Cost $13.50
Fries was plentiful. Maybe seasoning the Fries could be a good option. Cost $3.50
Overall I HIGHLY recommend Urban Skillet.
P.S. I was going to take a photo after my first bite, but I was so happy and was enjoying it that I forgot!! I guess I have to go back and order again!!
Thanks Urban Skillet...
