Yangban Sul Lung Tang — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Food is super good - my fav is the spicy Korean soup. The only reason I’m giving it 1 star is because I believe the lady’s at the front could be a little more welcoming/ nicer. Now, I don’t know if their frown face is because I’m not Korean, but either way I’m bringing you business lady!

Context: I get there to pick up my order, keep in mind this always happens to me- I greet, and say I’m here to pick up my order… blah blah, all she says is “ its $34” I go ahead and paid and since she didn’t mention the order was ready I just stepped aside which by this time there was another customer that was Korean, a male, i’m guessing he ordered his food in KoreN, and paid as well and within five minutes his order was ready plus another orders that were there to pick up. Literally it was like four Other persons that were there to pick up so they have like this little side table with the orders so I see that the lady is just giving these people their orders but not mine which I’m guessing it’s still getting packed, the lady was having lunch because when she was done giving the orders to the people she went back to the kitchen to like wash her Tupperware and clean up her mess and next thing you know there is one order on the table that had been there since I got there and it turns out it was my order, I was like if it was my order why didn’t she give it to me when I paid? Idk. Just be nicer please, kindness is free, plus I guarantee you it can bring in...

I went in today to order food, the lady in the cashier told me to wait 10mins because i was the next one in line. I told them i will wait outside and when i came in again after 5 mins of smoking a cig, they sat two ladies in the table. I was confused because i had arrived earlier than them but since they were 2 and i was the only one, they went ahead and gave them the sit. I complained and they lied straight to my face telling me they were ahead of me. They offered me to sit with some random customer that was eating alone (pretty sure they felt guilty at this point).... I cant believe they asked me that on top of it!!! they asked that customer that was enjoying her food if it was alright. she didnt answer back, obviously even she felt uncomfortable.... thats not how a restaurant should function, i worked in restaurants in my younger days but wow no words for this place. I havent written a review in a while, but this place deserves no stars. SERVICE SUCKS & NOT EVER...

My very first stop at LA is Yangban Sui Lung Tang! As I was travelling alone, I got only one dish which is Sui Lung Tang, tender meat with nice and rich broth! It comes with glass noodle inside, and rice. Also kimchi and spicy radish, both tasted amazing ! They allow you to add in your own salt and green onion, which I for sure prefer anyways!

The only down thing about this place is the operating hour, I kinda wish they open on Sunday or extending hour on weekdays! But I guess good food is hard...
