Just stopped in for my morning Joe and was greeted with a “Good Morning” from Francisco. He served me a warm cup of coffee which was not his fault. Their equipment could use a little revamp.
He offered to reheat it but I told him I was grateful. He asked if I wanted half and half and how many. He apologized for the warm coffee- explaining it sells quickly but the maker/machine stays HOT for only about an hour. Ahhh the good old days of Channel Island / Carl’s Jr. coffee vendor.
Francisco proceeded to clean up the counters and took apart the fountain dispenser and I went to use the restroom. Super clean inside, (which was a surprise) restaurant being open inside from 4:00 am to 11:00 pm.
I came back out to grab a refill and once again, Francisco offered to reheat my cup o’ coffee but I told him it was good. We chatted a bit about another location in Los Banos that he had worked at and that was it. I thanked him for the drink and split.
Francisco is a caring Carl’s Jr. employee. If he is not already a manager, he should be paid as one. Francisco offered impeccable customer service and was friendly and polite. He demonstrated that although the product his employer is selling isn’t top notch, doesn’t mean he won’t do something about it. He obviously cares about his customers and when something isn’t a ten, he will strive to make it that. Also, Francisco demonstrated that he takes pride in his work environment, for the company’s sake and the comfort of its patrons.

Read moreI recently visited the Carl’s Jr. in Santa Nella, CA, and ordered the California Classic combo. The burger was tasty, but it started to fall apart towards the end. The restaurant was clean, and the employees were courteous, which made for a pleasant dining experience.
However, I found the prices significantly higher than what I’m used to in Arizona. My biggest issue was that I wasn’t asked what size combo I wanted, and instead, was given a medium by default, which added $1.50 to the total. As a customer, it would be helpful to have the option clearly offered upfront. For reference, my wife, a general manager at another fast food chain, mentioned they always ask for the combo size preference.
Overall, it was a decent visit, but a bit of improvement in communication would make it...

My work truck is too big to fit drive through and dine in is closed at 2am, This gentleman helped me out when I walked up to the window no questions asked very nicely he understood and took my order. Memorized three orders so he wouldn’t walk back and forth to the register and the food came out exactly like I ordered it all the way to the amount of ketchup and ranch I requested. Very sharp young man very kind and just amazing service.
