I always liked churches chicken in Albuquerque but after today I will never be back to the one in Los Lunas and i am upset enough that i may never do Albuquerque either. I've never gone down here where they were really friendly and they tend to be very slow but i thought it would be nice to treat my mom to some of their shrimp platter during my lunch break today. When i arrive there are three groups at tables and the guy in front of me ordering. She takes his order and then turns to me and say it will be just a minute. So i stand there waiting ignored for 18 to 20 minutes while the lady does everything from putting an few orders together, to helping the drive through person, to checking on tables. Well my lunch hour is almost over at this point so when she finally asks me for my order she is like, oh well we have been out of that for awhile. So flabbergasted I say so I just waited here 20 minutes for you to tell me your out, at this point i was just shocked that i had literally blown my whole lunch standing in a line for nothing. Instead of an apology i get "well excuse me but i had other people to take care of." Like it is not my fault she waited so long to even see what i wanted, It is not my fault they didn't have a sign up saying they were out, then i am sorry she was not that busy when part of the time she just stood there waiting for biscuits to come up, but to treat me like trash because of this I was just so upset. By this time i was out of time and had to apologies to my mother and go back to work. So i didn't get to spend a nice lunch with my mom, she felt terrible for suggesting it, I got no lunch at all due to the time and on top of it was treated like that. I am just so floored by all this and will...
Read moreWent to drive thru, ordered 16 pc dark w/3 sides for $36.99. Was told about a 15-20 minute wait. Got the order almost immediately and we left. I thought that was quick.
I live out of town and was doing errands around my house. Didn't get to the meal until 11:30 p.m. ish. We only received 1 box of 8pc white meat. We ordered 16pc dark meat. I didn't call the store because I thought they were gone for the night. I called the next day to inform manager Ana. She didn't believe me. She argued with me, "Why didn't you call last night?" She put the phone down and I heard her say, "I don't know if he's lying or not."
Accusing me of being a liar.
When she got back on the phone I informed her I was not lying. She ignored me. She said, "you could have called back last night, they're here closing till midnight." I don't know the staff's schedules, or how long they take to close. So I showed up to get what was owed to me. Showed her a picture of the breast chicken. She said, "that's a thigh" basically calling me a liar again. And her not knowing what her own product looks like. She kept my receipt, but I took pictures of it. I told her calmly, "I'm not going to argue with you." I got my food and left. I'm upset with the lack of proper customer service. I don't like my orders wrong, or being accused of lying or scamming. Not professional at all. It's disgusting.
I also called corporate customer service. I got nothing, no one has contacted me back.
If you order from them, please double check your orders AT THE WINDOW/COUNTER.

Read moreI recently visited Church’s Texas Chicken in Los Lunas, NM, and I must say, it was a great experience from start to finish!
The fried chicken was crispy, flavorful, and had just the right amount of seasoning. It was freshly cooked and had a satisfying crunch, while the inside remained juicy. The 8PC Big Mix was a great choice, offering a good variety of chicken pieces. The shrimp add-on was also a tasty surprise, well-seasoned and crispy. The mashed potatoes with brown gravy complemented the meal well, adding a comforting, homestyle touch.
The restaurant was clean and had a welcoming atmosphere. The cashier, Oscar V, was polite and efficient in handling the order. The service was prompt, and my food was ready within a reasonable time. While the restaurant was not too busy, it maintained a good flow of customers, indicating its popularity among locals.
For a total of $28.69, I found the portion sizes fair for the price. The Big Mix Combo was filling, and the side dishes complemented the meal well. Considering the quality of food and portion size, it's a reasonable deal for a hearty meal.
The 703 Main St SW E, Los Lunas location is easy to find, with ample parking available. The restaurant is conveniently located near other local businesses, making it a great stop for a quick, satisfying meal.
If you're craving delicious, crispy fried chicken with generous portions, Church’s Texas Chicken in Los Lunas is a great choice! While the food quality and service were impressive, there is always room for improvement in wait times and variety. I’d definitely return for another meal and recommend it to fried chicken lovers...
