Tried this little gem over the weekend and would highly recommend giving it a try. The atmosphere was nice, the wait staff was attentive, and the food was delicious. Support local businesses! #Loslunas #Belen #Veguita #Socorro #Albuquerque #supportlocalbusiness #fyp #mexicanrestaurant

Delicious! My son had visited before with his best friend's family and recommended it this morning. When walking in, it was fairly busy (around noon) and the staff was friendly. They definitely have regulars already. A young boy acted as our server and was able to check in on our table. Another lady was looking over his shoulder while we ordered, I'm assuming he was in training but he did well, aside from us needing to ask for silverware. I ordered the Baja tacos with fish (in the photo) while my son and husband got the asada tacos. The food was amazing, to say the least. The flakiest, juiciest, crunchiest battered fish I've ever had in fish tacos. My husband asked for salsa and they brought out a yellow creamy looking thing. I tried it and it was spicy for me. When asking what was in it, we were told habanero, with other types of peppers named as well. The chips they gave us as an appetizer were also so delicious, literally my perfect type of restaurant chip! Tania checked us out and was grateful we liked it. We had multiple employees come to our table to make sure we were doing alright as well. All in all, pricey (what place isn't nowadays so I'm not faulting this small local place at all) but so, so, SO delicious.

We have been there twice and it’s been awful both times. The first time it took over an hour to get our appetizer and longer than that to get our food because they kept forgetting to order it. Then the food itself was almost inedible because parts of it were undercooked and crunchy. The second time the seafood was so rubbery and chewy we couldn’t swallow it. The service was also horrible both times. The first time we thought maybe it was because it was busy and gave them the benefit of the doubt but no, the second time it was slow and it was just as bad. Many people have said they love it so it just leaves me wondering what the heck?. Seriously though, that seafood was gross.

I went to eat with a group of 4 and we all ordered fairly simple food items that anyone would have a hard time to mess up. Lo and behold Katrina’s Restaurant found a way to do so. I really wish I would’ve taken photos of everything before the rest of the experience happened.

Let’s start with the service, I’m not sure how old my server was but either he has never served before or he just didn’t care. He got our drink orders and brought us chips and salsa. But I never caught his name and he never introduced himself but I’m assuming his name was Houdini because I never saw him again after he brought the drinks. To be quite frank, I don’t know exactly who our server was because we had 3 different people who came to our table. Either way, it was hard to get a drink refill and it was hard to get a refill of chips and salsa which we had to get up and get ourselves. I also had to get up and get table settings because not a single employee was in sight to ask them.

The chips and salsa: This item was actually very good. I enjoyed the flavor of the salsa with the scallions inside of them. This was the best part of the entire experience.

Caldo de Res: In reality, this should’ve been called Caldo de Grasa. There was more meat fat than anything else inside of the bowl. The broth was a very dark color, if you need a reference; think about trying to see the ground in the Rio Grand. The rice that was provided also did not have a good flavor. I’m not sure if this was yesterday’s rice, but it was very dry and disappointing. Rice is a main staple side side dish that every Mexican establishment should never get wrong.

Chilaquiles: The menu advertised this item as coming with beans and sour cream. But just like the customer service that we received, they were also non existent. I also opted in to adding Al Pastor to my plate. Which was the furthest thing from Al Pastor I could ever imagine. If you’re not making Al Pastor on the trompo, do us all a favor and just call it carne adovada. Just because you have chile flavored pork and add cold pineapple, doesn’t mean it’s Al Pastor. Let’s also add to the fact that the Al Pastor should’ve been featured on WWE because it was more RAW than anything featured on that show.

Al Pastor Tacos: I wish I could give a better review about this. However, it never even made it to the table. And honestly, I’m glad that it didn’t because if it was anything like the Al Pastor that was served with the chilaquiles, it probably also came raw and the Vet down the street would be able to revive it.

All in all, if you’re looking for bad service and food poisoning, this would be the best place to come and try.

Shout out to the owners daughter (who she said she was) for providing us with a 20% discount and bad service. Next time, when your kitchen serves out raw food, make sure you give that guest better service. You probably shouldn’t charge them when you almost...

So to start, this was my family's 6th visit here. We really liked the place, food was great, service started iffy in the beginning but we understand growing pains. We are a family of 5 that spent on average of $120 per visit. Today completely changed my view, and maybe it was the manager who was on today but we ordered our food, 4 out of 5 plates were great. My son ordered spicy BBQ wings, now I understand ordering wings at a Mexican/seafood place is a risk but most can make a decent order of wings. Well my son's wings came out and tasted horrible and the chicken was extremely chewy, my son literally ate 1 wing and not completely. We brought it up to our server and our exact words were "these are not good and the chicken seems undercooked, can you please take it back and take.it.off the ticket as my son doesn't want anything else in it's place". She said ok and apologized and took the full plate back. Again, all the food has always been great. So comes time for the ticket, well the wing order is still on there. Respectfully we bring it up to the server, hey the wings are still on there can you please remove them as they were not eaten and they were undercooked. She said, "I'm not sure if I can remove it but .maybe a small discount, let me ask the manager". We responded with ok. She came back and said, ""My manager said no but we can give you a 5% discount off the plate because we have never received complaints on our wings and that table over there just ordered wings and didn't complain". So just that response alone is just horrible in a customer service standpoint. Remember, cooks aren't perfect, they do mess up. And to make it clear, we know that the customer is NOT always right but it's the principle behind it and the response to our issue that lead to this review. We always support small businesses and wish nothing but success on small business, but things like this and 3.7 star review that you currently sit at will not help your success. We do still encourage others to try it as our experience doesn't mean it will be the same for the next. This review is solely a statement or an opportunity for correction on the...

I was so excited to have lunch with our family here today

It was my only horrible restaurant experience ever! No silverware Long wait to be seated Long wait for food All servers were in a panic They told us they ran out of salsa for the chips but other tables got their chips & salsa. Overall there was no structure to their service.

My food would’ve been exceptional if it weren’t cold, I had the quesabirrias! The consomé was more like pure oil than soupy dip!

I hope this review gets to the owner! this will be a successful business if you can focus on your CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! servers need to be more organized and attentive of their tables. There was one lady running around that I felt like she was the only one working and pulling the load around there, others were just not sure of anything! I suggest silverware gets wrapped/rolled up and set after every table gets cleaned up! Offer complimentary chips & salsa, that would entertain the long waits and keep customers happy if food does take a while to come! Set a section to each server so they know who they’re responsible for! We didn’t even get an apology for the chaos. I do understand it was busy but I hope the owner can prioritize the issues because there is POTENTIAL HERE!

The tables should be rearranged! The servers should try to be accommodating!

I think you have something good going here, with a a little help! please don’t give up! I’m looking forward to...
