Recompute — Local services in Los Lunas

Incredibly disappointing overall.

I have previously had my phone serviced at Recompute and the service has absolutely tanked since the last time I visited them. In short: the clerk set the expectation that my phone would absolutely be finished on Saturday; I did not receive it until Tuesday. -any communication was on my part - at no point did the staff call with an update regarding the delays and status. I received multiple excuses as to why my phone wasn’t complete; at first the part didn’t arrive, then the part had actually arrived and was “bad”, then the delivery company was to blame. the part used to replace my screen is flagged as an “unknown part” and not a genuine replacement part; the staff assured my husband it would qualify for a trade in still, but I highly doubt that, and I wasn’t told about that risk before. In an effort to make good on their poor performance, the clerk put on a “free” screen cover - the same screen cover I have been offered in exchange for a 5 star review (no doubt why they have so many). Additionally, the screen cover was applied with several pieces of dust underneath it, causing bubbles, which means I will have to replace it anyhow.

Considering the high cost, total lack of communication, and shoddy final product, I will find another place as needed, which is disappointing. I’d love to visit a local, small business but given this experience, it simply...

Before Christmas, i had sent in my laptop to be repaired as i had a problem turning it on and my cooling fan had a slight rattle. Overall great face to face customer service. We then came back about a week later after not hearing much from them. They had fixed the issue with the fan rattle, it seems that one of the wires had been exposed, however my storage device was damaged and needed replaced. they stated they could order a new TB one similar to the one that had broken, or could install a 500 GB one they had on hand. I decided to do the 500GB one to save time, and make it a little more easy on them. After getting the laptop situation underway we purchased a used Desktop that they claimed to have an I7 processor, 32 GB Ram, and 1TB SSD. I purchased the device, take it home turn it on, It only ends up having the I7, however only 16GB ram, and 200MB storage. I looked beyond that like "hey it was pretty cheap, so its all good, i couldn't've build a PC with these statistics without spending a few hundred. Later on when i go to pickup the repaired laptop, come to find out, 200GB storage on it as well. I wont personally mind the fact of being ripped off, however i will not be returning for any further upgrades, repairs, or purchases. I will be searching for different options in the future and will not be recommending this location...

there’s a lot of iPhone screen replacement reviews a few negative but mostly positive I had my battery on my iPhone 8+ replace and it’s working good six months later then I broke my screen I had bought this phone from The Cell Phone King as refurbished they must have put the cheapest battery and Glass possible after getting my phone back from Recompute The quality of the glass seems to be greater quality And the battery is still 100% this place seems to be well managed and both times I was able to get my phone back within an hour to the negative reviews just realize anytime something breaks and gets fixed it will not be the same as it came out of the box also save your gas and time most likely these guys got the parts you need in stock exceptional quality in my opinion right here in Los Lunas unlike the others that say they do but then when you get there they don’t also John answered all the different questions I had and was...
