Hands down the best New Mexican food restaurant in the state (or anywhere), and I can say that because I was born and raised here. Complementary salsa is provided with every meal, as it should be, and it's the best salsa. Sometimes I think it's too mild, but sometimes it has a little kick. Both the red and green chile here are always wonderful, and I recommend them both. Although their taco plate is my favorite (don't expect anything fancy- soft or hard, ground beef or chicken, lettuce, cheese, tomato and yet it still tastes amazing, at least the hard, beef I get does), the most iconic dish is the stuffed sopapilla. It's 100% delicious and very filling. Get chicken and green chile or beef and red. You won't be sorry! You also get plain sopapillas with every plate. You should most definitely eat them with the provided honey. To go call in orders are accepted and some nights have live music. You can purchase local jewelery and clothing from the display cases as well. Don't forget to soak in how historic the buildings is. It is a registered historical land mark! If you order soft drinks, beware that refills are not free. You can pay at the check in counter or pay the waitress. Ask for a pint or a half pint of chip and salsa to go. It's definitely worth it! Leaving the parking lot can be difficult due to visablilty. Don't worry! Just drive around the back of the building to the west and you can exit from spots that have...
Read moreI was so excited to have my company meeting at this restaurant . After moving back to this town since I was 10 years old , I had to visit because it was my favorite childhood restaurant . When we were seated our waitress was already pushy with us. She had pink hair and seemed to have a very stressed angry personality towards us . We asked if there was a price difference on the enchiladas with chicken vs the enchiladas with no chicken or meat . She said it costed the same . I went ahead and tried ordering the chicken enchiladas but the chicken put on the side for me . She insisted she would have to charge me more if I wanted them to do that . Me and my company were confused continuously since she kept mentioning it’s the same price but that she wouldn’t do that for us . She was talking so forcefully and loud at us that everyone in the place watched me stopped their meal concerned why she was talking to us aggressively and shaking :( . We were in shock that this has happened and we had to leave after she stormed off to tell her coworker and talk about us . It was disheartening. I do hope she is ok because she did seem to be taking out aggression upon us . If you have cameras I recommend watching them . And I do hope that this lady either gets trained better manners towards customers or needs a day off of work for personal problems . Truly saddened hope things get better...
Read moreWell, out of the four years that my husband and I have lived here in Los Lunas. I have to say I am ashamed for not trying out this nice little restaurant sooner. My father in law was coming thru town and wanted to get a bite to eat with us and suggested this place. I do have to say the food was out of this world. I am very pleased with the attitude and services we received as well. I knew the restaurant was closing at 7pm. Yet my father in law wanted to eat there, they still were able to accommodate us even though our entire party hadn't arrived yet. They kindly let us know that the restaurant will be closing and the kitchen will also be closing so we put in our orders. We tried to get the orders from the rest of our party who has yet to arrive still. When they got there they informed us that the kitchen closed. The manager was still able to get together a nice meal for our late comers. Which was so kind of her to do and the servicing staff were all so nice as well. I do look forward to returning to have another meal there. Thank you for the delicious meal and the welcoming services as well. Keep up...
