Actually the best Mexican restaurant I've been to.

We stopped here In the middle of a long road trip not expecting much because it was the only restaurant with more than 10 reviews anywhere near Hayti. This place absolutely blew us away...

I had the special tapatio and everything was par for the course but fairly tasty, but we also ordered some queso and chorizo, and it was the tastiest chorizo I have had in my life. It might not be for everyone, because the dish was spicy and smothered in grease, but it was the most flavorful bit of chorizo I'd ever had. The Chile bola was also amazing as the sweet of the pepper created an amazing flavor with the cheese, meat and beans all together.

The real showstopper however, was the molcajete... It was beautifully presented in a lava rock, pig shaped bowl, and it was absolutely loaded with shrimp, chorizo, chicken, steak, onions, and peppers. It was only 15 dollars and felt like a meal meant to be shared between the table. Everything all together with the tortillas was absolutely amazing and again the chorizo tasted heavenly, as did the shrimp and the steak.

Despite the fact we were completely full and had another 7 hours to drive before we got to our destination, we couldn't help but save our leftovers for reheating later, it was just that amazing. Would absolutely go here any time I pass through hayti again,...

Truck drivers: Absolutely STOP HERE! We actually were staying at the Pilot for the night and saw this little Mexican restaurant getting off the freeway, first thing we noticed, TRUCK PARKING (not overnight). So we said why not and went in for dinner on a Sunday night. We noticed immediately how popular this little place was and now we now why! Out of all the Mexican restaurants we've been to in the lower 48, this is the one we'd come back too. The place has a typical Mexican decor, but is clean and quaint. We were asked within 5 minutes for drinks and given delicious chips and salsa, and menus. The menu is quite large so there's something for everyone. We ordered fajitas and they came steaming hot within 20 minutes. You get warm tortillas, refried beans, rice, lettuce and tomatoes on a separate plate. The actual meal part, was absolutely stacked with all the meat, shrimp, chicken, bell peppers the plate could handle!! The taste was literally the best we've had! Just amazing portions too. You won't leave hungry, this we guarantee. The gentleman that was our waiter was absolutely outstanding ( forgot to get his name) and he never left us unattended to. Just an A+ restaurant for drivers and...

Went there and our waitress was extremely rude from the start. Then I asked for some more salsa and she said yeah and never brought any. Then the so called manager come out there delivering some other couples food and I asked him if we could get some more salsa. She never refilled our drinls, salsa or even came back to our table after sitting us and bringing our drinks. When I asked another waiter for the manager he came out and I told him what happened and he seemed to not care bc the other couple was friends of theirs and she was more worried about waiting on them. Bc I told him that he would get our tip nor her just as she was walking by, she then accused me of yelling at him. She is a joke for a waitress and I still don't believe that was the manager at all. The guy looked to be maybe 24. Will never eat in that place again with that rude waitress who refused to wait on anyone but her...

I love Mexican food, not sure what this is. All our entree's came served with a load of queso drenching it. Literally a pool of white cheese drowning the entree. Tostada served literally was some beef sitting on a tortilla smothered in a pool of queso. No beans, no lettuce, no tomato. When asked they brought lettuce and 2 slices of a tomato on a plate, then charged $1.50 additional. Prices reasonable, but food is blah tasting and unappealing presentation. Picture attached is what I would expect a tostada to look like. What was served didn't even remotely look like that. Unfortunately I didn't take a picture of what was served, but picture what dog vomit look like, that kind of gives you a visual. Ewwww.....
