Great News For Loudon. 😀 Just had our first breakfast at the Carmichael Inn. Loudon. Giving a shout out for them today our food was great our coffee was great and that's becoming rare to get good tasting coffee but here it taste really good. (black ). My eggs were perfectly done for over medium that's also rare these days. Potatoes were awesome also. Loudon has needed a really good breakfast place for years I say now we have it with Carmichael's Inn. The prices for breakfast are really fair for them and us the customers. My wife and I both had a nice breakfast and coffee. For $16.00. 😊. Now that's a great price for breakfast these days. Other places are charging a little too much for breakfast here in Loudon. Hope they can keep the price fair for them and for the customers. The service was also a 10. Our server was quick and polite and very nice to speak with. Even that early in the morning 😜 before my morning coffee was drank. Over all I give them a 10 score. Or a A+. In all categories. As someone who eats out often and writes reviews both good and bad I must add that we have found that allot of places have problems with consistantcy in food quality remaining the same every time we visit and also in service every time we visit. So we will wait and see how. Carmichael's Inn. Does in the future when we return frequently as we plan on doing as long as they maintain things just as great as they were today for us. We sure hope they will stay the same but time will tell it all. In all fairness to them and customers I will keep updating new reviews in the future as we continue to dine here. And I am always honest and fair in my reviews. I point out great points and I have no problem with also pointing out any problems we may find in dinning out. I think that does a good service for the restaurants and for their customers who will read my reviews as many have. So in summary again. Jump on board folks. Carmichael's is now open for breakfast in Loudon. And I fully recommend them to everyone to try. Let's help keep this great place for breakfast in Loudon open and profitable for both them and us the customers to enjoy. Keep up the great work. Carmichael's. This was our second time at this place since it is an hours drive away. The first time we were seated at the bar and it was phenomenal food and service . This time we brought 4 others excitedly hoping for the same experience. It was not . To start off the waitress disappeared after returning with our drink order. By the time she returned all of drinks were empty and she resumes to taking our order. The app we did put in came out quite fast and was delicious (fried green tomatoes ). After yet another long wait of asking for ranch instead of reg sauce we see her get another tables order before returning with ranch . At this point we have to ask to fill the remaining drink orders...and then the wait for the food...the restaurant was not even busy and to make matters worse she came back 15 min later to say the kitchen was out of a particular side that 3 of the people ordered... when the food finally came the sides were mainly warm at most with her forgetting specifically of bringing butter for shrimp...we then asked for refills once again...while waiting for butter to be brought that I had previously asked for I noticed my baked potato was cold not warm but since she was bringing butter I thought I'd tell her then to just microwave ... She never returned and to get the bill since we were already there for over an hour we had to go find her. I have never been so irritated with someone in my life so when I did tell her a one bite potato was cold she laughed and said oh I guess it's a good thing they ran out of those as well ... Kudos to the bartender who gave us quality food and amazing service while waiting on us our first visit but to the waitress who needs retraining you have lost your business 2 patrons as well as a one time patron who scouts eateries for out of town business lunches. Anywho sorry so long but really felt I needed to iridiate the frustration I felt for...

I used to enjoy this place A LOT! I've been a faithful customer for a couple years now, At first the food was all amazing and the service was great too. But as time has gone on it has gone downhill fast. First I noticed that the shrimp that were large and juicy were replaced with smaller and poorer quality ones in their Shrimp and Grits. Then it continued on where I would order the amazing hot pork rinds with beer cheese dip to the last time I was there it looked like they just opened a bag of regular rinds and they were not hot at all and less than 1/2 the amount. They have messed my order up more than once and when I let one of the owners know the response left the feeling they don't really care. Once I placed my order and after almost an hour wait the waitress said they forgot to check on it. My most recent visit there were only about 8 customers on an early Saturday evening and I heard the waitress tell the customers they didn't have a lot of the things they normally served. When I asked for the manager because of my very disappointing order I was told it was their day off.

I feel really bad because I want so much to like this place, but It's gotten to the point where I'll now dine someplace else. It's a shame because I have taken at least 12 different people there to share the experience but I don't any longer because I'd feel embarrassed. I really wished "Restaurant: Impossible" would have helped them out instead of Z's Fish House that only lasted about a year after they were in Loudon. We need a good place...
