Don't. Just don't.
There isn't a stove or fryer within 500 yards of the establishment. Everything comes in premade or processed. If it's warm, it gets a trip through the microwave. The kitchen staff does not appear to be wearing hair nets or gloves. That's unsanitary and frankly, gross.
The waitstaff appears more intent on their own phones or lives than doing what they claim to be doing: serving you.
Witnessing a manager meltdown in a completely inappropriate manner for all to hear and see is unprofessional and a turn off.
I guarantee I get a response stating because this is a historical building we cannot use __ in the building....blah, blah, blah. While true, and repurposing the train station may be the only positive thing about this establishment, if one were truly committed to producing a quality product, there are alternate solutions available that are affordable and would keep the building safe. Clearly the ownership group is incapable of finding creative solutions to a problem and is committed to low quality output.
There are far better offerings than this in the area. Visit these businesses and support their efforts. Your time will be better spent.
RESPONSE TO 'OWNER' MAY 2024
To the 'owner' who posted a response here....
Everything stated above is 100% documented fact with witnesses who will attest to everything above being fact. Maybe you should ask former employees who have walked out over the incidents mentioned here.
Internet troll?!? I take pride in every review I have given. They are all based on facts associated with the interactions. I have given my share of great to miserable reviews. I give credit where credit is due and point out shortcomings not only for others to be aware of but also for business owners who may actually be looking to improve their businesses.
Maybe you need to step back and take a hard look at the facility in Loudon. Frozen isn't fresh. Microwaves aren't stoves. A single converor belt oven to grill burgers or fry fries or tots is not a grill or fryer. Cooking house made chips in a different location and bringing them to Loudon in totes is not truly house made or fresh. Managers having temper tantrums in public do cause employees to walk out - which did happen.
Keep coming at me. I'll keep knocking you down and put you right where you belong. I know so much more that isn't posted here.....

Read moreWent for lunch today (5-31-2024) with coworkers. Two got there before myself and another. I think they might have ordered jusr before we got there. Coworker I was with order first, then me. I ordered the mushroom burger. In a nutshell, my coworkers got their food first. As expected for the two that got there first. The one I was with shortly after. My order showed up late. Very late. They had all finished eating. I didn't have time and am to get it to go along with my drink. They made it to go, but no drink. I looked at the bill at almost $18.00 and decided they could just keep it. Told them do and left. That's the third time I've been there and I have never been impressed with the food. But today was my last time going there. The next time my coworkers want meet and eat lunch there, they can drop me off at the Carmichael Inn.
The place used to be a train station. They have redone the place very nice. Sorry, but I didn't take any inside photos. Some people can get upset when you take photos that might include them. I went to lunch with several co-workers and got a lunch entrĂ©e. A Southwestern Crunch Bowl and a Dr. Pepper. The entrĂ©e was ok and the drink was good. They got busy, and the waitress made such a quick pass that I wasn't able to flag her down for a drink refill. However, I did get her to make me one to go when I paid. Back to the entrĂ©e, it was hot but still bit flat. There were roasted red peppers and onions, black beans, white rice, and chucks of white meat chicken in sauce and surrounded by just 6, Dorito size and style, chips. Plain sticky white rice didn't cut it for me. I don't think the chicken was seasoned either. Probably out of a can. The black beans were scarce, but there was plenty of chicken. The size of the meal was good for the price of approximately $10. Add some roasted corn, season the chicken and rice appropriately, add more chips and lighten up on the hot sauce and I think the entrĂ©e would be pretty good. đ A couple of my coworkers go there all the time and love the place. One got a Patty Melt and loved it. Another got a wrap and liked it. When I eat there again, I'll try something different and update this review. If you're into beer, they have plenty of different kinds. I'm not a beer drinker, so I can't comment beyond that. If you don't like beer, they have whisky too. My preference for an...
Read moreMonkey Town Brewing & Restaurant, located in Loudon, offers the characteristic charm of a typical brew pub, complete with a vast menu selection of beers and spirits. Upon my visit, the ambiance was immediately noticeable, featuring a rustic, industrial vibe, which added a unique character to the place. The setting, seemingly in an old train station, is confirmed by the sight of trains passing by through the windows, providing a dynamic backdrop to the dining experience.
The venue was bustling during my visit, which, while a good indicator of its popularity, seemed to stretch the staff thin. They appeared somewhat overwhelmed by the high volume of customers, which occasionally impacted the service speed and attentiveness.
As for the food, the offerings tasted fine, aligning well with what one might expect from a brew pub. However, a significant concern arose after the meal, as I became quite ill. Such incidents can mar an otherwise enjoyable experience and raise questions about food handling or preparation practices.
If you're planning a visit, the selection of beers and the unique setting might make it worth considering, especially for enthusiasts looking to enjoy a drink in a place with historical charm. However, potential visitors should be aware of the possible inconsistency in service and the unfortunate experience I had...
