Cajun Critters — Restaurant in Louisiana

The food is good once it finally arrives. The decor is very cute. The staff that we interacted with was very friendly. Timeliness of the meal unacceptable. My son is autistic and was starting to have a meltdown and resorted to eating ketchup because his french fries hadn't arrived after myself and adult nephew were half way finished eating, my husband and son was still waiting. We were told it was because of the two kitchens that cook specific items even when they are on same ticket and put in at the same time. I understand that they were busy that's why we never complained about the extra long wait for any food to come to the table. However, to still have to wait an additional 30 minutes after we did receive two of the 3 three meals is unacceptable. My nephew has always bragged about this restaurant. Been there a few times over the past year. And always had good service.. but .. not tonight.. My wife ordered Shrimp platter and all three others ordered Surf and Surf.. My wife received her food fairly quickly then waited for us to receive ours.. but after a while I told her to eat before it was totally cold. She was almost finished her meal when the server brought out 2 of the three plates of Surf and Surf. After asking for my plate 2 times, my food was brought out to me but everyone at our table had already finished their meal.. no explanation was given for the delay.. and also .. I received a dozen shrimp but the other 2 plates each only had 6 shrimp per plate and yet were charged the same per plate as I was.. we’ve never had this poor quality of service on our past visits.. totally disappointed.. Management needs to fix this quickly.. we will be back next week to try but.. if we have the same experience we won’t be...

Our last experience a few years ago here wasnt great but we decided to try them again at the new location. I will preface this by saying my wife, her friends, and my daughter had a decent experience. Me not so much. I ordered the twelve butterfly shrimp. The shrimp were popcorn shrimp size (two were maybe medium sized at best, thr rest were super small) and they literally counted out 12 of those tiny shrimp and brought them out (almost 20 dollars for this). My daughters $8 popcorn shrimp had way more shrimp. I brought it up and they eventually said (after a bit) we will give you some more shrimp which was at the same time we were paying for the meal, obviously not staying. So I ended up paying full price for 12 tiny shrimp. I have attaced a photo with one of my daughters popcorn shrimp to show the absurdity. Its kind of funny now, but definitely a terrible dining...
