Coffee & — Restaurant in Louisiana

This spot has always been one of my go-to places whenever I’m back in town visiting friends and family. It used to be a reliable choice where I knew I’d get a satisfying meal at a fair price. Unfortunately, my last few visits haven’t lived up to the standard I’ve come to expect.

On my most recent trip, I ordered the smothered liver, which has been one of my favorites in the past. This time, however, it had almost no seasoning and arrived barely warm, which really took away from the experience. Consistency is so important when it comes to comfort food, and it felt like the kitchen may have been rushing or cutting corners.

The service is always friendly, and I do appreciate that the waitresses try their best to keep up with a busy dining room. That said, they clearly need more support. The restaurant would really benefit from hiring more eager and competent help so that the staff isn’t stretched so thin.

One thing that continues to stand out in a positive way is the pricing. Meals are still reasonably priced, which makes it a good option for families or groups on a budget. I truly hope management makes some improvements soon, because this has been a long-time favorite of mine and I’d love to see it return to the quality and consistency...

This is the second time Ive seen this and last time we are coming in to eat unfortunately. This has nothing to do with our other waitresses which was excellent. A girl with tattoo eye brows named Theresa on the receipt is always so rude. She runs around like it's so busy making everyone around her nervous. She deff looks like she may be taking some sort of upper medicine or drug. All the waitresses and staff just look stressed around her and she seems verbally abusive to staff also. No one should have to be abused at home or work like that. And as a paying customer that's been through situations like that I feel sick to my stomach to watch it go down. I love you guys at coffee & and always enjoyed bringing my family and sometimes church members but that young lady is just disgusting the way she runs around acting a fool and her nasty ways she treats everyone. Is she schizophrenic? She walks around making comments about the other waitresses constantly and even looks like she makes other do her tables. You can see the frustration on the other girls faces. Hopefully you guys will find better employees in the future. The atmosphere is very thick and...

I usually have a pleasant experience here. But the last time I went may be the last time I go for food. I went in to place my order after a long day b/c it was too late to cook. I ordered one of the specials to go. When I got home I had practically ICE COLD GREEN BEANS AND POTATOES. Not cold like they have been sitting out but cold like it was scooped straight from the fridge. I would have preferred that they tell me that there were no special available. I wanted for other food so IDK why mine could not have been warmed. It was ICE COLD and I didn't have access to a microwave. So I slowly ate cold food in my annoyed state. B/c a simple microwave or suggestion could have made this better. I will not trust their specials and IDK if I will order their food again. The only reason I didn't give one star is b/c of their past actions (not present experience) wouldn't let me do it and their donuts...
