Grounded Coffee Cafe — Restaurant in Louisiana

Grounded Coffee Cafe is what an ideal coffee shop is. Staff with a true interest in the barista art, indoor and outdoor seating with a well-lit and bright with a slightly rustic indoor look. A diverse coffee menu that changes up its brew of the day with gorgeous pastries.

I went out on a limb and tried a cold brew as a first time visitor. That cold brew did not disappoint. Strong and bitter-free! I was shocked and elated that the sugar station has stevia for those of us who can't use all of the other sugar. That made me want to cry with joy. Rarely, very rarely, will you find a coffee shop that has stevia!

While checking out I noticed this gorgeous almond croissant sprinkled with powdered sugar. I passed on it, but as I walked out, I couldn't stop thinking of it and decided to go back and get it. The pastry has some sort of cream inside of it and was flaky and delicious!

Grounded Coffee Cafe was also extremely clean and very reasonably priced when looking for coffee.

I won't be coming back. Two employees were not wearing masks. Initially I wasn't bothered by it since there was plexiglass separating me and the cashier. But then the two individuals went by the coffee machinery and what I assume to be the ice machine. I would highly recommend not ordering coffee or drinks from this place due to the disregard of CDC guidelines. If you're not going to wear a mask you shouldn't be near areas where other people's food and drinks are made. There was a third employee wearing a mask that was preparing food which made me feel safer ordering a sandwich. Even though I always make it a point to eat at local restaurants as much as I can, I think your money is better spent supporting places that follow CDC guidelines. PS If you work here and your boss isn't giving you a mask to use let me know and I can give you one. I know times are tough and masks can get pricey. Update * Wanted to just updatemy post since i can't give 10 🌟. This place is just an awesomeplace to help start off your morning. The coffe is great, the breakfast is great and the atmosphere is welcoming and pleasant to be in. Awesome place for a study group, a small get together, some alone time, a small group or just a place to enjoy a vup of joe and sit outside. I always place my order by phone and they know my name!!!!
