Jordan’s Seafood — Restaurant in Louisiana

We ordered 55lb of boiled crawfish for Mother's Day 2020. When I got there to pick them up they were rung up at 2.79 a pound. The total came out to $184.38 which , after waiting in line for an hour to pick up my order, were paid for without complaint. But when I got home and had access to a calculator, I found that 184 divided by 55 equals 3.35 a pound. When I accounted for the tax at 9.2% I still came out to 3.06 a pound and unless Im mistaken, sales tax on food is only the parish rate of around 5 %. We called and asked if they made a mistake, we were told we were charged $3.50 for the box and if we do the math, we will come out with the same amount. Well even accounting for the box, the total wth tax and using the same tax rate on food that the grocery charges, the total should have been $164, not $184. How many others have been over...

I feel bad leaving a review with less than 5 stars because I've been going here for many years, it is practically in my backyard. I've always loved the food, price, and most importantly the service was always solid. I've never felt like I've been penny and dimed for anything here before. But for the past several months, the usual friendly and generous service have changed with the new person at the register. I've been telling people for years to come to Michael's, but now I'm a little less inclined to do so. The other day, I was only 2 or 3 boiled shrimps over the weight limit, and she pulled it out of my bag, and when I got home, there was a lot of water...

Well, we went to buy Seafood at this place, there was an Elderly Black Man who waited on us..we noticed that there was absolutely No protecting him from the Harsh Cold rainy weather. And it was Cold..the wind was hitting him from all sides of his person..putting his hands in the cold ice water to pull out the seafood..we thought at first he was the owner and attempted to pay him. But he gestured for us to go inside the store, we went in and all I could see was white workers in a nice warm grocery/ seafood store..It was sickening..we left without buying. That was shameful..never will we shop there any more..telling my family...
