They didn't honor a national coupon for national educator week. They said it only applied to teachers with a school issued ID. To quote Krispy Kreme's own website it says:

My family went to Kristen Kreme today (8/11/2020) with the coupon I was emailed that specified one dozen free donuts with the purchase of another one that we planned on bring to the rest of our family. It was in celebration of teachers and straight A’s. No where on the coupon or online does it specify that this is ONLY valid for teachers. We drove up through the drive through, we had specified that we had the email coupon but were informed that it only applied to teachers once at the window. The only thing the drive thru worker could say was “My manger said so”. So I said if I would have simply ordered it online with the code we would have gotten the deal and again it NEVER specified teachers were the only ones this coupon applied to. I’m very disappointed with the way this was handled and if it truly was only for teachers then the coupon should have specified. It simply sounded like the manager didn’t want to adhere to the ACTUAL coupon to save money. This location and corporate need to get on the same page because there is an obvious lack of communication.

Location on Clearview Parkway in Metairie, Louisiana. Haven't been here in over a year. Got there Friday, August 8, 2025, shortly before noon. The place looked run down. The tables and floors were dirty. The very few workers there seemed like they did not want to be there. We weren't sure what we wanted. So, while looking at the case of donuts, all employees disappeared. When were ready, I looked for someone and they were in the back room except for one female which was in the front room/office. It took for another customer to come in and wait with my daughter in law and I a few minutes before someone came to help us. The guy was not to friendly as were non of the other workers as well. Service wasn't good and the doughnuts were not like they used to be. Huge lack in quality. The filled doughnuts barely had filling. The thing that really disappointed me was biting into the new lemon doughnut and it was filled with the tiramisu doughnut filling. Both of the lemons were filled that way. Coffee and lemon doesn't go together, at all. No, I did not bring it back as I live over an hour away. I will not be visiting this establishment again. They have really...
