Mi Mamacita's New Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Louisiana

Worst experience in customer service ever in 52 years of life at a restaurant. My wife was assaulted verbally and we were asked to leave after ordering the same dish we order every Tuesday at the restaurant. Always have a great experience there but this time the Server/Manager on duty was unaccommodating with a simple order of cheese enchiladas. Why? My wife complemented the server upon entry and her nails and then she was belittled for her order that we have ordered at this establishment countless times. Instead of being polite or accommodating with a simple order she told us we couldn’t have cheese enchiladas casserole style and that’s “I’ve worked her 7 years and you can’t have it that way.” My wife hadn’t added the shrimp yet or completed her order before being interrupted and berated and we were ordering a dish that we’ve called in and eaten so many times before at this restaurant. I defended my wife by stating that I’ve ordered the same dish as well and that her attitude was out of line, and the waitress said, “Your going to have to leave.” She kept going escalating a situation which was a simple order. Me and my husband just ate here, we were pretty excited due to the name having “New Mexican Restaurant” as we are originally from New Mexico and haven’t found good authentic Mexican food here in the south. The people were very nice, so no complaints there, it was cute inside however it’s definitely not Authentic New Mexican food and a little disappointed there’s not one Zia symbol in sight! The enchiladas were a little bland and not hot enough to even melt the shredded cheese inside and the biggest disappointment was the rice. That’s always my favorite part and this did not taste anything like red rice. My husband also asked the waitress if the green Chile was Hatch Green Chile (New Mexico is literally famous for their Hatch Green Chile). She looked confused and thought it was a special ingredient or something which made me chuckle lol but for a restaurant to claim it’s New Mexican style and the workers don’t even know what Hatch Green Chile is is super disappointing! Today I had the pleasure of visiting MI MAMACITA’s Mexican restaurant for the first time, and it was a great experience.

I decided to quench my thirst with a Spicy Bloody Mary, and it was absolutely fantastic. The perfect blend of flavors with just the right amount of kick.

My family ordered a couple of Chicken Quesadillas and the New Mexico Enchiladas "Casserole Style." To say that my family loved it would be an understatement. The Chicken Quesadillas were packed with tender, flavorful chicken.

The real star of the show, though, was the New Mexico Enchiladas "Casserole Style." It was a comforting, homestyle dish that had everyone raving. The layers of enchiladas, sauce, and cheese were perfectly balanced, and the flavors were a delightful mix of savory and slightly spicy. It was clear that this dish was made with care and attention to detail.

The portion sizes were generous, and the food was piping hot when we got home, thanks to the efficient takeout service. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making the overall experience even more enjoyable.
