Server was very nice. but when it came time to pay I was told they won't take my debit card but they did not even try it so the server told me where the lady who declined it was so I could ask her & she( the lady that declined it) kept telling me the machine won't take it from other customers but I kept asking did u try mine but she didn't want to so after a while of me I insisting she try it ,before she put my card in the machine she said its gonna make a lier out of her (I guess she knew it would work but didn't want the trouble) & it did. No apologies r anything from her . I guess this red hair lady is the manager.i don't know but it was so embarrassing & stressful for her to put me though all that & I was treating a friend to lunch who is a regular customer & she said she got so embarrassed by us being told I couldn't use my card. I wish I had taken a picture of the horrible breakfast that we were served this morning. Just my opinion, but it was really bad. Horrible, overcooked scrambled eggs, very generic type of Hashbrowns, and horrible bacon. Overall, it was just horrible, in my opinion. The Mcdonalds Breakfast Platter for example would have tasted far better. Really wish we had gone to Joe's Cafe & Donuts in Westwego (which has an amazing breakfast, and very friendly staff) though, instead of trying this place out. And, these Country people are not the friendliest. Typical country people, who give you looks, but do not smile or say hello. Waitress was a typical country person too, with a country attitude. Have not been there in 2 years, the food was terrible and the service was even worse. Was recently told it was under new management. We decided to give it another shot. Went on a Friday night and my husband got the Fried chicken and I got the lunch special ( the Shrimp Stew). I don't know why it took so long before our order came seeing as most of it was microwaved. The food was cool in the middle could have been much warmer, the Fish that came with the meal was freshly made as was the chicken. The side dish of mixed vegetables that my husband got was cold in the middle. I do have to say that the stew and the chicken were delicious.
