Very friendly ladies! We ordered 2 Née Née's shrimp poboy and added alligator sausage to both. It was hands down THE BEST poboy I've ever had (and I'm from Mobile)! The seasoned breading for the shrimp was perfect. The shrimp and the fried green tomatoes were fried to perfection as well. That alligator sausage was so delicious, and I favor this sausage compared to Conecuh. My husband was aghast when I said this. He said no, I said yes. 😆 And that remoulade sauce. 😍 Forget adding cocktail sauce to shrimp poboys, add this sauce to your poboys people! So so good! I've never even thought about adding remoulade sauce to my poboy until this place. The Creole rice...man, it was so good! 🤤 The fries were fries. 🤷♀️ (Owner if you're reading this, if I may make a recommendation? When the fries are in the brown paper bag, add a little dash of Cajun seasoning, and then we'll be talkin'. 😉😉)
We can't wait to be back in the area and having this meal again! Oh, and there's plenty of...
Read moreOrdered the Shrimp poboy it was a pretty good sandwich but I was surprised and a little disappointed that the only gator in the restaurant 10 min from New Orleans only had gator sausage. No gator meat/tail or boudin balls or boudin at all. I don't get to stop to eat in LA very often and try to get my favorite foods when I can was hoping a place with such a name would atleast have one or the other. Shrimp was cooked perfectly though not much for a decent drink selection pretty much fountain drinks only. Some tea or lemonade would have been alot better than a soda or juice out of the soda box. Seems a bit expensive to go from $12 to $16 on a cheap soda with no chips. 🤔 food didn't taste bad but for what it was and the price I'll eat somewhere else. I'll give 4 stars because the two ladies...
Read moreI was looking forward to a BBQ roast beef poboy and although the meat was pretty good, it had to be one of the sloppiest poboys I’ve eaten. Basically, it was roast beef with a LOT of BBQ sauce mixed in. I strongly recommend lots of napkins and a fork to eat up what will surely shoot out the other end when you take a bite. The bread was hard and difficult to chew. Overall, it was okay but not great. I probably won’t return. Oh and if you’re expecing anything fancy, look elsewhere. This place is inside a gas station and is about as bare bones...
