Waffle House — Restaurant in Louisiana

Overall the staff were nice, we received our to go order in a reasonable amount of time. However, I did try to call the store 4 times to speak with someone about my food quality and did not receive an answer, so I am posting the feedback instead. My grits had a very large pice of burned plastic in it. I discovered it because I originally ate it thinking it was grits, and when I felt the hardness I took it out thinking it was maybe the dry part of grits when it cools… It was not, it appeared to be the plastic from a bread loaf bag. Unacceptable… Also, 2/3 of my waffles had raw batter around the entire outside. I had to give my baby the chocolate chip waffle because it was the only one fully cooked; and my husband and I just had to pick all the raw pieces off. My eggs were also severely undercooked, I ordered them over hard and received over easy eggs. I am a very disappointed because the first time I ate here, the food was great and I had no complaints, and this time the qualities was...

I stayed at the Hampton and went here due to a lack of anything other than fast food. I read the reviews and decided to try it myself.

I was greeted promptly and politely, and the ladies were very cheerful. They told me to sit wherever I liked and, once I did, a menu was presented and a young woman took my order. She was exceedingly polite and professional.

My order (the All-Star breakfast) came out in a satisfactory amount of time and it was exactly what I ordered. They checked on me to make sure everything was satisfactory and produced the check when I confirmed everything was in order.

The ladies were talkative and laughed amongst themselves (as a former server, I will not fault them for that), but did not ignore the customers that were present.

My only real complaint was the syrup bottle. It was sticky and I had to clean my hand off. Other than that, I had an enjoyable time and would go back if I were staying...

My waitress name tag says Shai. So this is who I am talking about. Outstanding waitress...I have been coming to this Waffle House for years and have never had a " perfect" waitress. Well today, never has been replaced with Ms. Shai. From prompt to precision, from integrity to kindness. Aware,alert,and professional.There are about 5 or 6 servers today and she is the "only " one constantly doing something. Being a waitress is a difficult job bc you are a middle man. If the cook, cooks the food wrong or if the guests next to a guests is talking rudely..it's the waitress that has to mediate. This woman needs a special recognition for her talent to keep up with every single thing around her. If Waffle House doesn't stop and realize what they have in her...someone else will.
