I come here sometimes for Sunday dinner 🍽️ and to be honest this place is pricey with what little food you get the dressing is super salty due to them over seasoning it the yams are mushy and the turkey legs 🍗 with gravy is slippery the food isn't bad it's just how they cook it and prepare it! I understand that the servers are busy fixing people's orders but to only come and check on the guest who are sitting at the tables eating their meals only once is uncanny to me you should check on guest periodically especially if it's their very first time visiting the restaurant and visitors who are there from out of town they are unfamiliar with this new restaurant and the way things are set up so guiding them and showing them how things go here shouldn't be a bother for the employees. This restaurant is super small for the large numbers of guests who want to come and eat and when people can't find anywhere to sit down they end up having to reorder their food to go. It's nice listing to the music on the overhead speakers but when the saxophone 🎷 man comes in and plays for the guest while eating it's extra noise people can't hear themselves talking with others and it drowns out the sounds of the music already playing on the radio! It's not a bad place this is just not a good location for this soul food restaurant especially when alot of people come and visit this cramped up...

From the moment I stepped into Daddy Vic’s Soul Food, I knew I was in for a treat. The ambiance radiates warmth and hospitality, making you feel right at home. But it's the food that truly sets this place apart.
Each dish is a masterpiece, crafted with love and expertise. The flavors are rich, authentic, and perfectly balanced, transporting you to culinary heaven. The Mac and Cheese was creamy and indulgent, the cabbage seasoned to perfection, and the oxtail was tender and flavorful. The cornbread was a delightful balance of sweet and savory, and the catfish was fried to crispy perfection, melting in your mouth.
But what elevates Daddy Vic’s Soul Food above others is their impeccable customer service. The staff is not just friendly; they make you feel like family. They are attentive, accommodating, and genuinely passionate about ensuring every guest has a memorable dining experience.
To sum it all up, Daddy Vic’s is more than just a restaurant; it’s a celebration of soul food at its finest. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking not just a meal, but an unforgettable dining experience. Trust me, you'll be planning your next visit before...
Read moreWe drove from Prospect, Kentucky, first time trying this establishment on the recommendation from one of my sister’s sorority sisters! I ordered oxtails, cabbage & macaroni/cheese, order of peach cobbler, (which I did not receive) My sister had catfish dinner, mashed potatoes & cabbage. The oxtails did not look like oxtails, the taste was coarse, like chuck roast (which I despise) cabbage was very salty. I was very disappointed with the oxtails, did not try the macaroni & cheese.
I called them immediately upon discovering the peach cobbler was not included. I should have checked the bag, I did ask the young man, if everything was in the bag, (which was tied up) he said Yes, therefore, I did not check the bag. My mistake for being so trusting!! I was informed that I could come back and receive the peace cobbler, by someone who said his name was Isaiah, who refused to connect me with a Manager!! Folks want you to support their business, when you do, then when a mistake happens, you attempt to resolve it and you are met with poor customer relations, is more than enough for me, to NEVER support them again! My entire Saturday is now such a disappointment! I was so looking forward to eating oxtails and peach...
