Double Dragon II — Restaurant in Louisville

Normally I would rate this business a 4.5 or 5 star but my last encounter here was not a happy one! I should've wore my medical scrubs because apparently my normal attire wasn't getting me GREAT service!! Why should that matter right?! Well this particular reason it does. My husband called in the food and the guy that took the order told him 15 minutes. We live 10 minutes away, so I waited in my truck for the remaining 5 minutes. I saw a guy with work attire walk in 10 minutes before I did and a lady with normal attire was already sitting and waiting before me and this guy came in. He waited 5 minutes. The guy called him up he grabbed his food and he left. I waited to be called at the counter for maybe 5 to 10 minutes. A guy walked in with his work attire on asked me if I've been helped and I stated no not yet. So once I was called to the counter I told him my order that I placed and he said well it's only two of us here and I told the guy on the phone it's gonna be 15 to 20 minutes!! I said okay! I gently sat down and let the guy behind me go ahead. He said he called ahead and placed an order as well, here is the kicker okay! The guy took his money and repeated his order back to him with ease. No hostile tone. No impatient attitude. I mean, I honestly think I may have been through a sexism moment! And the lady sitting in the lobby too! She probably never paid attention. I mean never have I ever felt this way ordering food at this business. I've always dealt with the woman who answers the phone and takes the orders. This made me feel really bad and sad after this encounter at this business. I'm all about support but this type of tolerance I will not accept!!! Also the food is HORRIBLE! My rice was orange yellow and the sweet and sour chicken didnt have that crispy crisp dough texture. Gentlemen, that's apparently one of the cooks, was having issues talking to me when I was trying to place my order. He walked up to the window to take my order. Then I started to tell him my order only to see that he walked away. Then he came back and asked what I wanted, so I started to see my order again, and he just stood there and stared at me. After I do my order the third time, he rings me up. Most places that serve chinese will allow you to do substitutions at an additional fee, According to him, they do not do this. So I ordered an extra side since I do not care for a white rice. And lo and behold when I get home he gave me the one side I paid extra for but not the two that came with the meals I ordered. Every dish they serve comes with sides, so I'm not sure why he thought these two didn't. Once I got home, I realized the food was missing. I had to drive back to the store, wasting my own money worth of gas to get the sides they forgot to give me. 9/26/2024 update, Ordered the Sesame Chicken with White Rice. Which didn't realize they gave me fried rice until I got back to work. I can't have onions, so this was disappointing. They had in a seperate container from the Sesame like normally would have white rice also, but it was not. Also the breading on chicken was mush and falling off. .

The guy there that takes orders is rude, we tried to order the same thing we always get, this place and all other chinese places, "we don't do that." I explained that we always get this, " No we never do that".

General Taos chicken double broccoli no Rice..... he would not do it no matter how many times I asked and explained. Not sure what his deal was, he used to be nice when we ordered from work during the day. Oh well. I won't be back to...
