We had the Birria Quesadillas with the consume for dipping. Brother in Law at the pepper that came with it about twice as hot as a pickled jalapeño about just as hot as eating a fresh Jalapeño with cracked skin off the vine. He said the Birria consume and meat seasoning had too much cinnamon. Still ate it though lol. My sister had the Pina Fajitas which she loves and gets every time practically enough for two bigger folks and 4 smaller ones. Daughter had the Orchata and kids Quesadillas plate with rice and beans, she loved it. I had the volcan, it was served by itself but the waiter was gracious enough to bring flour tortillas when asked and a spoon because the Charo beans caldo mixed with the juice from the meat was fire ate it like a soup after having my fill of cheese, cactus, steak, chicken, and charo Beans, dos xx negra on tap 32 oz refreshingly cold. There was a team of greeters, servers, and cooks attending to us and the customer service was a 5 star experience. Frequently visiting the table, food came out super fast and hot and it was like an honor for them to serve you and do their best. The flavor of the food was ok, just as good as any other Mexican spot. The decor is being worked on the lighting was half fast done, could of made it more intimate and inviting at the booths. Used to be a Chinese buffet so it's alot of work to convert completely understand but once they finish adding the decor and minor improvements it's going to be a hit. Would highly recommend on...
Read moreI wish I could give this place zero stars. I made the mistake of stopping there, thinking it was the old authentic Mexican restaurant that used to sit there, boy was I wrong. It was this new chain Mexican restaurant. So I said to myself, I’ll just get a few tacos to go, what’s the worse that can happen? Well I learned real quick as I got charged over $20 for 4 tacos. 4. So I still tipped the host and get my tacos and head to the car. I regret not taking a picture so I could show you the slop they put in my box. I took it inside and showed the manager and she was telling me there’s a certain way I’m supposed to pick them up as they were just falling apart. She said she’ll make it over but my break was over, so I asked for a refund which was denied. Her words- “I’m sorry but no refund because we made it cook to order”. I got so mad I left that disgusting looking garbage right in her hand and headed to my car. She came outside with a bag and knocked on my window, but I waved her off. It’s too late. I ordered overpriced food that looked like slop, waited my entire break for it, and was denied a refund. No I don’t want your disgusting looking food, no telling what you did to it when I left. 0 stars and I’m NEVER going...
Read moreThe restaurant looks great--very open and warm. When we arrived, there weren't many people there, and they didn't really get very busy during our visit either. I had to wait several minutes for a refill on my drink on two separate occasions, and I only got those two refills. Chips and salsa were lack luster, and the food (steak, shrimp, chicken) was overcooked and dry. It was okay, but not really worth the price. My husband ordered a chicken dish, I don't recall what, and I ordered the Pina Fiesta Fajita. The presentation was decent, but everything was much hotter than it should have been. I made a ridiculous mistake and severely burned my tongue. I do not blame servers or staff for this--I placed a metal fork on a hot skillet while waiting for the food to cool. This was my mistake. But it was all of two minutes, and for a fork to get that hot from a dish that was cooling is concerning to me. Again, it was my mistake, and likely I'm being slightly overreactive to that, but all the same, the meats/proteins were dry both for me and my husband. I just wasn't impressed, and I don't think I'll...
