UPDATE: 5/5 We have continued to stop in at Hop Atomica and have been much happier with service! The wings and ranch are still amazing. The online ordering has been more streamlined and more options have been added. We love being so close to easy great food, beer, and cocktails. Thank you Hop Atomica!
FIRST REVIEW: 3/5 We live right down the street and come often to support local and enjoy the patio. We’ve come at least 5+ times since they’ve opened.
Unfortunately service has just been terrible almost every time and I’m ready to leave a review in the hopes for changes. Missing drinks, late food, issues with checks, asking waiter for things and they forget, etc.
We often come for the wings, but several times we put in an order and 15 minutes later, someone will come tell us they are out. Every time this happens they say they will remove it from our check, but when we try to pay, it’s still there and we have to go talk to someone several times to get things removed.
The hummus is amazing, but there is never enough veggies and they coat the carrots in olive oil, which is odd. We’ve asked for more veggies at a visit before and the waiter never brought it to us, even though we added the “extra bread” option she told us to put in. Then we had the run around with removing it from our check again.
We also love their ranch with their pizza, but they changed to plastic containers and they melt all over the top of the pizza and you don’t get as much as the gold containers they used to have.
With several pizza places right in the neighborhood, things just have to be different and hop atomicas pizza is almost there. The grease is sometimes in a pool in the middle of the pizza.
We will keep giving hop atomica chances, but now know to not count on service/the wings...
Read moreMy husband I have just moved here from Utah and live now at the Germantown Mill Lofts. Our first morning here we decided to try breakfast out at this on property restaurant. I would say that it is super cute in style and overall loved the look and location. We had a table with the tall chairs which looked good but the chairs seemed to be broken/off balance. I was eating here with my parents and I had ordered the grilled cheese with chips which was mid. My husband and father both ordered Italian sandwiches with chips and my mom ordered what I think was called the bear (breakfast pizza) I will admit that the pizza was delicious and like nothing I had ever tried before. The wait staff forgot our drinks several times and we were there FOREVER! There weren’t that many people dining at this time but when I say they brought out each of our party’s meals one dish at a time that’s exactly what happened. Each of us would individually finish our food we would wait 15 more minutes and then they would bring out the next person’s food at our table that is not how food should be served. Not to mention they forgot one of the Italian sandwiches and I reminded them about it, they forgot again. Then I reminded them again and they hadn’t even started making it. It’s a meat sandwich. It does not take that long to make. They kept forgetting to bring us water. Overall horrible impression and I was extremely disappointed. Overpriced and terrible service. My husband tipped but that’s because he’s a better man than me, I...
Read moreA group of 8 and 2 teens thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Hop Atomica. With unseasonably beautiful weather, we sought out a brewery with good food and a patio. Hop Atomica delivered all of the above and then some.
I wasn’t hungry but the Basil Cheesesticks and house made ranch hands down were some of the best I have had in recent memory. Absolutely worth going back for alone. Cinnamon Sticks too?!?! Yes they also slapped. And don’t get me started on the beer cheese and smoked wings. Our group had them naked because the smoke alone was sufficient flavor. Definitely will return, even if only for food.
I wasn’t feeling drinking a lot of beer but I wanted to sample. Flights were generous, Oktoberfest and Dunkel Buck were chef’s kiss.
I then stepped inside to order a Rye flight that was curated with some delicious pours I haven’t had. As a Bourbon and Rye enthusiast, their bar program shouldn’t be discounted, they have a formidable selection of delicous bottles.
Everyone was so hospitable and Paul came by our table as he was making his rounds. Super nice guy and hilarious discussions ensued about irrational reviews like “people who didn’t enjoy the IPA but they don’t like IPAs anyway.” You can tell they take pride in the place and I want to also say their playlist was absolutely FIRE! 90’s tunes abounded and I was right at home.
So Paul, our review is for your team and the hilarious chat about stupid reviews on...
