Super Stays - Swepson Guesthouse Louisville, Kentucky — Hotel in Louisville

My wife and I booked this location using Airbnb. We paid an extra $50 for a 2pm check-in. We arrived right at 2pm to an unlocked deadbolt keeping door open. The unit was a total disaster upon arrival. 15 minutes later the cleaning lady comes walking in front door unannounced. She had no clue the place was suppose to be ready by 2pm. We had to wait nearly 90 minutes for them to clean the place (making us running behind for the event we were in town for). My wife asked if the sheets on the bed were clean because they smelled off, she replied, “They have been washed but recently had someone stay with a dog and we can’t get the smell out”. You would think they would buy new sheets and comforters. Then upon returning from our event we were locked out of the until because they failed to set locks properly. We had to stand outside and wait nearly 30 minutes for someone to arrive to let us in. That night we were kept up until 4am by neighbors running around and playing loud music despite the many signs in rooms to keep noise down after 10pm. We contacted the host and they said they would address. We experienced the same thing the next night. Had to call the police to report a noise complaint. The music was finally turned off the 2nd night at 1am. The host completely ignored our message about the music for our 2nd night. We could literally clearly hear our neighbors conversations from certain rooms. Therefore, you have zero privacy staying at this location. As well as we returned the 2nd night to the thermostat locked on air-conditioning in which you have to contact the host to get them to change it back to heat. They changed it to air-conditioning without even asking us while we were at church. This was our 5 year anniversary trip to see our favorite evangelists.  We had to spend at minimum of 5 hours on the phone with airbnb during this trip to report all the issues. We travel a minimum of 4 times a year together. By far this is the absolute worst experience we have ever had from start to finish.  It was so terrible we decided just to drive home tonight after service instead staying the final night we paid for. My stay at Swepson Guesthouse at the end of July was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality that set the tone for a wonderful week-long stay.

One of the standout qualities of Swepson Guesthouse is the kindness and welcoming nature of the staff. They made us feel right at home, going out of their way to ensure our comfort and satisfaction throughout our stay. It was evident that they genuinely cared about their guests' experience, which is a rare and refreshing quality to find in accommodations.

Another aspect that stood out was their immediate responsiveness. Whether it was a request for additional towels or a recommendation for local dining options, the staff was quick to respond and provide assistance. Their efficiency added an extra layer of convenience to our stay.

Swepson Guesthouse's proximity to the airport is a significant advantage, especially for travelers with early morning or late-night flights. The short distance made our arrival and departure hassle-free, and yet, we were pleasantly surprised that there was no noise disturbance from the airport. This allowed us to enjoy a peaceful and restful stay.

The spaciousness of the guesthouse was another highlight. Our room was comfortable and provided ample space to relax and unwind after a day of exploring the city. The well-maintained common areas also contributed to the overall feeling of openness and comfort.

In conclusion, our week-long stay at Swepson Guesthouse was nothing short of fantastic. The kindness of the staff, their immediate responsiveness, proximity to the airport, and the spacious accommodations made this a memorable experience. I would highly recommend Swepson Guesthouse to anyone visiting the area, whether for a short stopover or an extended stay. It's a true gem that exceeded our expectations...

Booked the entire guesthouse for our wedding weekend. The owner let us come see the space before booking it, which was extremely helpful. The space was perfect to accommodate most of our wedding party and family comfortably. We utilized the top floor for our rehearsal dinner, which was around 50 people. We also utilized the top floor for the bridal party getting ready and the photos turned out to be beautiful in that space.

The location of the guesthouse is perfect for getting to downtown Louisville which is where our wedding venue was.

My only feedback would be when planning the staff was not super timely with responses for catering, table and chair rentals and chauffeur recommendations. Also the options presented were extremely expensive. I would recommend doing your own research for outside vendors. However the staff was very accommodating for the other vendors we decided to use.

The other downside was the stairs, but we knew that going into it so totally out of their control. Just something to consider there is no elevator so just keep that in mind when renting it out the top floor!
