The person who took order was very professional and kind. The interior was dirty, however this was Saturday brunch hours so this is somewhat understandable.
Unfortunately the food was very underwhelming. I got the vegan empanadas and my partner got the vegetarian chicken and waffles. The empanadas were almost inedible. Even accounting for expansion in the fryer, the ingredients inside were a thin spread. I could not tell if ingredients that were listed in the menu were in a very small quantity or if they weren't even present, and ultimately it tasted like I was eating just fried bread.
The vegetarian chicken and waffles were decent waffles but topped with vegan chicken nuggets that seemed like store bought, freezer-section kind of ones. Looking online, it seems one of the menus in pictures specifies that they are nuggets, while one does not, which is the menu we had at the counter. I feel it would make sense to be more consistent about specifying this. Good vegetarian chicken alternatives are possible, though it is understandable to not go that route. But certainly isn't worth $16 dollars to have a few plain nuggets on average waffles.
I understand vegan/vegetarian not being the main focus of a restaurant even if it has those options. However, if you are putting those items on a menu, with equivalent (or higher) prices, it should be implied that they be at a similar standard...

This was my 1st time eating at Breakfast AF and unfortunately I did not have a great experience. I was mislead about the french toast with vanilla custard. I was expecting french toast with vanilla custard but that is not what I got. I inquired about this and was told that the vanilla custard is mixed in. Well the description is misleading. I thought it would have vanilla custard stuffed or at least in between the slices but what I got was 4 huge triangles that were dry. When I requested to speak with someone I was told the manager was on vacation and the one in charge was too busy then the woman I spoke with said she would have Allen R call me when they close at 230p. That was on Saturday, 2/1 and today is Thurs., 2/6 and I am still waiting for that call. I also had a peach mimosa, which had a very strange taste that I cannot even describe, so I thought maybe I just needed more peach juice. The peach juice didn't have much flavor and didn't even taste like peach. The only thing that I enjoyed was the Beyond sausage patties. I hope a manager will eventually call me. This was an expensive mistake. I'm...
Read moreBeautiful space. Attentive and patient staff. Even the busy lobby line went fast. The food took about 8m. I ordered a lot just because it was my first time. Very impressed with the speed and accuracy of the kitchen.
Pancakes with pulled pork and a fried egg... not something I would have ever put together at home... but man, the pork is seasoned well and juicy, the fried egg was massive and PERFECTLY cooked, the pancake was hardy and almost had a cornbread taste which paired so well with the pork.
The breakfast sandwich I tried was sausage, egg, cheese croissant. It was definitely a cut above fast food, but not particularly special. But it paired very well with my drink, a fun spin on a mudslide with an absurdly delicious and thick coffee foam. Never had anything like it and fell in love.
The absolute star was the Brioche French Toast with what had to have been the best whipped cream I've ever had and fresh berries (blue, black, straw). Man, I could've had two orders of that and gorged.
Allan, "the Allan from the door," was calm and quick and super friendly. And again, all during what must have been a hectic time.
I could not have had a better experience and I'll be making this my weekend Brunch spot for the...
