We’ve been to both locations and the pizza was excellent on Bardstown Rd and in Germantown. Service was awesome in Bardstown - friendly, quick and awesome. However, the one time we didn’t get take out and dined inside at the Germantown location was a different story. I had my service dog, an 8 lb Chihuahua mix, in a bag. The lady (tallish, straight medium length brown hair, glasses) at the door, who turned out to also be our server, told us to sit wherever we liked. We sat at the bar and she came up, pointed at my quiet, relaxed, non plussed service dog and said, “I can’t have it in here. You have to sit outside”. I understand that not everyone knows the law regarding service dogs, but if your establishment doesn’t allow pets, you should at least know how to politely ask legal questions to determine if an animal is allowed in as a service animal. I told the lady that my dog is a service dog and she rudely asked what for. When I told her what my service dog is trained to do for my disability, she looked annoyed and begrudgingly allowed us to stay inside. Our pizza was just as good as the other times when we got take out, but I felt uncomfortable the whole time. Our server didn’t attempt to make up for anything and continued to be short and rude. Meanwhile, there was a baby who cried the entire 45 minutes we were there. Yes, babies are humans and are obviously allowed in restaurants, but to get treated rudely when my dog is 8 lb, quiet, in a sling bag and a service animal made it a lot harder to understand why I was the one who was being treated disrespectfully and impolitely.

Got to try a nice assortment of food at The Post and it did not disappoint. This is a wonderful NY style pizzeria with great pizza, beers (draft and bottle), salads, sandwiches and calzones. Service was good, and they do have a nice outdoor seating area for the warmer times. The food, overall a solid 8 to 8.5 out of 10 from all of our group. We had thier cheese bread as an app, was flavorful and crust was perfect, crispy on the outside, pillowy soft on the inside. One of us also had a salad, with a solid tasty balsamic dressing and fresh ingredients. Now, for thier pizza and calzones... perfect NY style. By the slice, HUGE slices that remind me of what you'd find around Central Park. They also have slices of the day and pizzas of the month, be sure to check them out. One of us had thier spin on a Hawaiian, was really flavorful and unique. Make sure to get plenty of the drizzle. Two of us went the "make your own" route and were really impressed. Flavorful, perfect crust with a nice dusting of cornmeal. Ingredients were plentiful and it came out like a work of art. Our last party member had a calzone... and like the NY slices, it was no small serving. Packed full of cheese and wonderful. Overall would highly recommend for the NY pizza fix (or just pizza in general). Really looking forward to going back, trying different things, including thier sandwiches!

This was my 1st time my boyfriend and I had eaten here and overall it was a pleasant experience. We got the 16 inch pizza...the crust was a little crisper then I liked personally. But overall, the pizza was delicious. The establishment itself was neat and clean. When you walk in there is a sign stating to seat yourself....we did that and after about 3 or 5 minutes I was told to order food and drinks at the bar. I did that and the food and drinks were delivered shortly after. When we were done we sat stranded again..no check..no to go box....so I went to bar and requested the check and paid the tab. Overall the service was great and we will definitely go back. When we were leaving we saw a tiny sign that said order at bar no table service. So, I suggest some bigger.signs could be posted on the process when you get there and what to do when u leave. I know the sign on door said hiring..so I hope when you have more staff you provide service at the table. Thank you and have a great night!

we’ve been coming to the post for years… whether it was for a quick bite or a friendly gathering. our previous visit was quite different. we arrived and told the wait was an hour to sit outside. we asked if we could grab a drink while we waited for a table at the bar the hostess said yes. one of us grabbed a slice and a drink, we had a party of 4 total. the hostess told us our table was ready so we were wrapping up to go outside then the two bartenders yelled and told us to close our tabs. it wasn’t a problem for us to do so, we closed out then followed the hostess outside. we arrived at the table with a slice in hand and ready for more.

we were approached by our server who was very rude. “are you guys going to order anything” we replied yes we’re just waiting to finish and then we’ll order more. she told us we were only allowed to sit there if we were going to order something else. which we all thought was very rude considering there were plenty of empty table tops with people sitting at them. then one of us requested a drink from the bar sense we felt pressured to order something. we also noticed that one of the employees was stacking rocks on top of each other out side on the patio. the reason i’ve mentioned this is because the server treating us like we were wasting her time and that she was too busy to take care of us. when in fact she wasn’t busy at all if one of her coworkers had time to play with rocks….

after that the experience from the bartenders and now our server put a bad taste in our mouths which we wanted to leave. which we did!! on our way out the server came out of the building and YELLED at us from the back door while we were standing in the parking lot, “ YOU FORGOT SOMETHING” she continued to wave the drink around and tried embarrassed us in front of other customers. it felt very hostile then she rolled her eyes and stormed off. we will never be back. collectively for a friday it wasn’t that busy to the have the feeling of chaos and the level of disrespect we received from employees we saw on a regular basis. there’s plenty of other pizza spots in louisville that maintain a friendly/safe atmosphere and deliver much...

As a white person, I am well-versed in non-spicy foods. Unfortunately, the pickles in "the new dill" pizza fit that banal bill.

First of all, whatever device you use to look up the menu online, the text is too small and becomes ineligible if you try to enlarge it enough to read the toppings. You would assume "the new dill" pizza would use dill pickles as a topping, right? Wrong!

Upon tasting these very distinctive pickles, both the server and the manager assured us that the bread and butter pickles we clearly tasted were actually spicy garlic and dill pickles made just two blocks away from their location! The general response to my repeated insistence that these were clearly bread and butter pickles was "what do you want us to do about it?" No one checked to make sure a mistake was made, and the suggestion that the menu ought to be amended to be more accurate was met with silence. Admittedly, I did not make these pickles myself, but I've had many pickles in my lifetime, and I know what dill pickles taste like. It tasted nothing like garlic, dill, and/or anything spicy was involved in the creation of these. Maybe, at one point, some seasonings dry humped the pickles, but no fluids or flavors were exchanged.

Perhaps they weren't bread and butter pickles, but they were very sweet, not spicy at all, and certainly didn't taste of any dill. The only spice on that pizza came from the standard hot sauce, and the hot sauce I added at home to cover up how sweet the pickles were.

All in all, it's hard to judge The Post on a singular pizza, but the apathy regarding communication with ingredients means I won't be going back...
