Indi's Chicken — Restaurant in Louisville

I've never ate here before, but I will definitely eat here again! I got the beef rib tips and was thoroughly impressed. I also got corn on the cob, and mashed potatoes. Corn on the cob was great and the mashed potatoes weren't instant! They also have chicken and a lot of side orders. They had so many sides I don't remember what all they had oh, but it was a lot. They also sell slabs of ribs, there's a wait on those because they cook them on order. Next time I go I'm going to get a slab of ribs. If you're in a hurry get the rib tips. I highly recommend them.

The only downside to this establishment was the small dining room. It only has 3 tables, so I wouldn't take a chance on planning a eat-in experience. But it seems most people are already aware of this, as most people get there orders to go. it seems that most people use the tables and chairs as a place to sit down to wait for their orders to go. To me this is a good thing, because I don't like to stand and wait on my food. So at least you have a place to sit down and play on your phone until your order is ready. LOL As an added note, they have some pretty good cheesecake there too. Chances are I'll see you there cuz I'll definitely go back several times

We waited for almost 10 min at the box just to order, when we finally got there, they didn't have one items we wanted ready, we said we wouldn't mind waiting, they said it would be 9 min or so. So we agreed. We waited another 7-10 min to get to the window to pay. We were asked to not leave, as we waited for our food, and instructed to pull into the handicapped space. We assured them we would not leave, we had paid, and we ordered it because we wanted it. We waited for about 20 minutes, but noticed they had gotten much more busy since we had ordered. So we gave them the benefit of the doubt and tried to patiently wait for them to bring our food. We ended up waiting 45 minutes before I went inside to see why it was taking so long. Turned out one of the employees forgot about us waiting and our order had been sitting, for who knows how long. I spoke to the manager, at first he didn't want to give me both a refund and the food, but after mentioning that it was probably cold, and he couldn't serve it to anyone else, and I had patiently waited for longer that I should have, he did go ahead and give me a refund and our cold food. We had to go home a reheat our food before we could eat it. This isn't the first time with issues at this location, probably won't...

Ordered: 2pc snack with a side of Greens. Added a pc of chicken. Told the guy it didn't matter mild or spicy and to just give me the freshest chicken that was up.

Received: Legs: spicy, very nasty and full of grease. Which indicates they were at the bottom of the pan, not fresh at all. Zoom in on the picture.

Thigh: spicy, had been under the light. Skin very dry/hard. Broke apart in pieces when pulled back. Pulled the skin back, the meat was dark and dry from the heat lamp.

Greens and Roll were good.

Indi's is a gamble. And it shouldn't be. It would/could be a very nice chicken concept if they stopped over making product, daily. To the point the chicken is stacked HIGH up to the heat lamp.

It's to the point, they serve their customers anything, because it's made already. When asked for fresh, they still give you old product.

The spicy chicken loses its spicy kick once it's been sitting for a period of time. And if it's at the bottom of the pan, it's just going to lose its flavor all together from the excessive...
