I frequent this resturant often since it's so close to my home and the food is tasty, however I never come to this location early in the morning. Well this morning I took my husband to the airport so I googled what time the resturant opened it said 8am. I pulled up to the resturant at 7 am fully aware that I had to wait an hour till they open and I was okay with that, I just decided I would make some calls in the mean time. I felt odd because the staff kept looking at my car like (who is that why are they out there ) I didnt want to scare anyone, it was still dark and this is a crazy world we live in. so I backed my car up and pulled over to the dunkin doughnuts next door since they were open. Finally, The eight o'clock hour has now hit and customers are pulling up to the resturant but the doors are locked, one ,two ,three customers come and go...it's now 8:17 and the lights are off the business is closed. I decided to call and see if they were going to open ,no answer. I know employees are in the store the food has been in the warmers for over an hour already. So I decide to get out my car and knock on the door surly they must not know its almost 8:25, a nice gentleman comes to the door and say we won't be open till 9am. I sigh in disappointment š he says you've been out here for a long time are you paying cash? I reply, I can he says hold on let me see if we can fix your order. Sadly he returns and says the lady said no your going to have to wait till 9 am. I thank him for at least acknowledging my presence and tell him I will return on a later date. I realize now that there is a weathered notice posted on the door which states as of June the store hours have changed. That sucks. I am only writing this review in hopes that management would go into there google account and update the hours since it's December now. Even with the sign I would assume this is an upcoming change not something from months ago. I still love this place and I hope to see it flourish to the resturant it was prepandemic. Hopefully management will see the missed opportunity to serve 4 customers. My review is 5 stars because I have nothing negative to say about this resturant I just want to bring attention to an issue and forwarn anyone reading this the resturant does not...

On "Christmas Eve," at 5:52PM on 12/24/2024, I walked into this restaurant & smiled & said hello to this dark skinned chick who worked there. She just stared at me & said nothing. Hence, not one word to my face! I placed two orders. My first order was their fish, which was dry! The cabbage & plantains were freshener.
Next, I asked for a brown stew plate. She said, "brown stew?" As if she didn't know what this was. Also, the chocolate cake was nasty! That's not chocolate. More like raisins lol.
She had the nerve to ask me for a tip. I clicked "skip" on the tablet in her "face" š. She handed me my items, didn't say "thank you," "have a nice day," or "Merry Christmas." I asked her to hold the door due to having to carry multiple items. This broad grabbed the door & THREW IT OPENED & DIDN'T HOLD IT!! SO, BASICALLY, SHE HIT ME WITH THE DOOR!!!
Also, when I got into my car, she kept staring at me from the window! This is the end of my business! I will take my money to your competitors. You all need OUR MONEY TO SURVIVE AS A BUSINESS. NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND WHEN WE HAVE OPTIONS!!
I tried to call the business twice & ask for a manager. The phone just rung. Please have a manager give me a call! Until then, a very Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!...

That was a 10 minutes hold. I hung up called back and was told āI have customers and I still doā and was placed on hold AGAIN abruptly! after 5 minutes she came back just to tell me a simple answer to my question which should of been answered when I asked! This would of save me and her 15 minutes of fustration and this review! She need customer service training!!! I been to the store twice the food is okay, I only eat fish so I cannot comment on the other food served, but the fish was sweet as if it was cooked with sugar.
