Stopped here just to have a drink with a friend and chat a bit. When we first walked in we saw a few tables playing poker and everyone was smoking. I don't smoke but my friend smokes cigars and he asked the manager/owner if he was allowed to smoke cigars in the building. The owner said no not until after 9pm. So we went outside and sat so he could enjoy the cigar and I could enjoy fresh air. I went inside to use the restroom and walked by the 3 tables playing poker, also where the owner was hanging out and noticed 2 guys at the poker table the owner was at smoking black and mild cigars. The bathroom was filthy. I returned to my friend to told him he wasn't upset but I thought it was less than fair. The drinks were terrible I order a Cabernet and my friend ordered a Lynch-berg lemon-aid. The wine taste like it came out of a box and the lemon-aid was made out of powdered lemon-aid mix. This is not what I would expect from a place that is more bar than restaurant. I had to pour my wine into a big cup of club soda to get it down and my friend ordered a second drink and wrote the recipe for the "bartender" to follow to get it the way it was intended to be made. He said it was ok but he wouldn't come back here. It's the only thing in town as bars go so I'm sure that's why they are still there but I wouldn't go back unless I had no other options. Read moreSorry to be the former disgruntled employee but something has to be said. It’s filled with roaches POINT BLANK PERIOD!!!!! My very first day I worked I noticed small roaches that would be CASUALLY crawling. The head cook Step, has the worst of all kitchen etiquette and habit. Not dose he exemplify any knowledge of how to properly handle food. No gloves were ever used nor any proper use of utensils when handling food. Raw meat touched every surfaced. There was no proper exchange or perp of anything from cooked food, seafood, or fried which was pretty much everything they cooked. Now I give it to them the make all their food from scratch. I personally followed the mashed potatoes recipe my self after making sure everything was clean and it was some of the best I’ve had. The staff was mostly definitely great to work with yetthe exception of the head cook Step. But, I ordered a margarita and it taste like just ice and the mix with no liquor. I told the waiter and she went to tell the mgr I didn’t like the drink. She came back and said that he said all drinks are final and no changes will be made. Then he comes over and I repeated to him what I said to her. He insisted the drink had liquor in it. I said ok you can pour it out and I’ll still pay for it. So I won’t be coming back to patronize this establishment.
