I had two negative experiences here this week. I came back a second time to give them another shot. I’ll just mention the last one. I got BLT pizza, had sprinkles of lettuce and bacon on 3:8 pieces. Other wise cheese bread with mayo on it is what I got.
I waited 40min+ for the pizza. I was the ONLY customer and employees doing everything but cook my pizza. The other customers were just chilling. Not adding tasks to employees, not ordering drinks and they were done eating.
After 30 minutes I noticed how long it had been and asked, i was met with “sorry we got delayed”
With what? Sweeping the floors behind no customers?
I got my pizza about 10minutes later and got another apology. With a hand on my shoulder. Don’t touch people either. And maybe next time have a valid excuse or give a fricken soda at the very least.
Pizza tasted good and had a good chance, but All 3 I tried in the 2 visits, none were cooked enough. I was warned of this exact issue too so it’s often an issue I assume if 3/3 of mine were undercooked.
I sat on this review for two nights due to feeling bad it’s a small local business. Unfortunately I gave the second chance and just was not impressed how my pizza delay was handled. Over 40min for ONE pizza when they had ZERO other things they were actually doing. Zero other customers aside from at my 40min mark someone ordered beer to go... they were playing on phones and mangers/owners assuming sitting at bar talking about business.
I was there Tuesday around 2:30 until 315. Tall Girl was in kitchen doodling around doing anything but cooking and shorter muscled man was manning the bar. Aka sitting on phone with no customers not wondering why I was still sitting there after half hour?
Maybe a refund for my pizza should have been thought about after 30 minutes let alone when I finally got it.
I was originally told 15 minutes. I walked in at 10, was told “I’ll check that” And comes immediately back and he says “oh just a few minutes left”...
Read moreOur experience at 5030 Local was very mixed. As we were staying at the hotel next door, it seemed to be the best place to have our local family members meet up with us. The manager did a nice job of seating a party of 13, without a reservation, which we were grateful for. He and a server were quick to get water on the table. Initial drinks were brought out quite promptly. The food was ordered and delivered as expected. The Margharita pizza was a little runny for my liking, but my wife enjoyed it. Everyone in our party was satisfied with the food. During this time business had picked up and drink refills started to slow down. The server remained polite and was apologetic. Then their POS crashed. Almost an hour to get and take care of the 4 separate bill's really put a damper on night for many of us. As someone who has worked in the food industry for decades, I would encourage the manager to have a manual "crash kit" available. Our server could have written up a manual ticket and calculated the tax we owed in a matter of minutes. Best service I ever got was at a location that had a POS crash. They came out and told me that their system had crashed and the food and drink we had already ordered and consumed would be on the house, but any additional purchases would be cash only. Look for opportunities to gain loyal customers, not just for temporary solutions. No owner would want to comp a table of 13 people with food and drinks, but if I would have been given 2 more whiskey's I wouldn't even remember that it took nearly an hour to take care of our check. The silver lining for me was the whiskey. As an avid JD/CR drinker, I have to say I prefer the whiskey that I was served. If in the area again, I would give this place another shot (pun intended) because of how difficult it is to find good whiskey. It would be difficult to convince any from my...
Read moreBerthoud Brewing is downstairs, park in the lower lot to avoid the stairs... Seating inside as well as tables outside on the east side of the building so plenty of shade in the afternoon. Jesse is part owner with his father. Jesse was very nice and informative, taking time to give us history about the business and brewing process as well as upcoming events. All of the tap beers are served down stairs while most of the beers go to 5030 restaurant upstairs. The homemade beer cheese soup made with Berthoud Brewing beer pairs excellent with the Berthoud Brewing Monk punch! Hats off to the chef, Great job on this soup! Berthoud Brewing has a stage inside featuring local artists and a songwriter showcase on the weekend. Most live music is free (tips are appreciated). The local artists were very entertaining and talented. Upcoming events including nationally known artists and comedy night. Visit 5030 local Facebook page to see upcoming events. If tickets are required they are usually cheaper online. Great beer from Berthoud Brewing and other local micro breweries served on tap. Crowlers are filled and sealed onsite so you can take your favorite home to enjoy responsibly. If you had just one more round than you should have and don't feel comfortable driving grab a room at the La Quinta hotel across the parking lot. If you already have a room at the La Quinta Hotel you need to walk across the parking lot and enjoy this great experience!
5030 Local restaurant upstairs is a more intimate dining experience with inside and outside seating, great views and Rat pack or big band music. Both settings feature wood fire cooked pizzas and other great items on the menu. Slightly different menu for upstairs and downstairs.
If you're visiting Loveland and Estes Park area you need to make time...
